I really appreciate the way you show the bag on different height people for scale. Excellent review.

Thanks for including the part on fitting the tech kit compact and tech kit! Wasn’t sure which size to buy till I came across your video. Tech kit compact should be a better fit. Wouldn’t want to “fight” with the bag all the time!

I agree with your straps opinion. I have this backpack for just over a week and I must say I am a bit disappointed when I fully load it. I absolutely love everything about this pack except the straps. Straps from 28l version feel so much better shame they’re not using them on this one

Im thinking about buying this bag, in your opinion would you suggest the 24L or the 28 liter?
@mariuszklin6433
@mariuszklin6433 Жыл бұрын
@@elinoorani18 I have 20l and friend from work has 28l and I think 28l is better if you carry a lot of stuff. I only use it for my laptop and few tech bits plus my gym clothes and 20l is great for it. Straps are disappointing though. Very stiff and not padded very well plus they slip a bit if your bag is heavily loaded. If they put straps from 28l to 20l version it would be perfect. It is a beautiful backpack and it’s really well designed but straps really lower the experience. Not sure how 24l compares to it as I didn’t see it

Do you mean the shoulder-pad is hard and uncomfortable?
@mariuszklin6433
@mariuszklin6433 5 ай бұрын
@@MS-ge2jb it’s not completely hard but has a very thin layer of padding which is ok if the pack isn’t fully loaded but surprisingly uncomfortable when loaded completely. I really like the design but I’d probably buy Aer city pro if I was looking for new one

The thing with that kind of keyclip is that if it is made of metal, then it isn't flexible enough. Sure they could use metal carabiner keyclips, but I find those (especially the one on the Wandrd Duo) extremely annoying because the keyrings tend to snag on the karabiner hook.

Those leather accents on the straps also seem to be suitable for carabiners.

This is a really great review, thankyou. I noted you didn't mention a pen/pencil holder in the front - perhaps that's not included in this smaller pack? A shame the key clip isn't in the front section and higher quality, but not a big deal, I guess. Considering this as a gift for my son who's a music production type - will have to check the sizes of Bellroy's tech pouch against those of his headphones case.

I really like this bag, but there are two big issues about it which make me hesitate to get it: 1. No dedicated iPad pocket, and 2. The full clamshell opening means that you will have to set it down on a surface horizontally before opening it. Might not be efficient if you’re in a coffee shop or any other area with limited flat surface where a horseshoe opening (which allows for the bag to be opened vertically) would be better. Thoughts? Please convince me that I’m wrong. I really want to get this bag!

Re: your second issue: if you open the two zippers halfway, that makes it a horseshoe, doesn't it? Sure it might not be as sturdy, but I think one might not always have to open the zippers all the way.

In your opinion, Is this a packable Backpack or not at all? 🤔I have a Aer travel 2 and thinking to buy a Tortuga Outbreaker Daypack to fit it into the Aer, but Bellroy seems to have more options to organize stuffs

Hey Efrain - it this small of a size, we'd recommend picking up a packable daypack instead. Check this link for more info and our Packable Daypacks Video! packhacker.com/guide/best-travel-daypack/#packable - Tom

I too am wondering the same question-it is packable? How easy would it compress down compared to those two other options?
