Just for anyone not yet aware: the cloak is no longer account wide. The achievement bonus is what your alts share and that is a max of 100% xp bonus and some flat stats (150 stamina and 100 main stat) at rank 12 for collecting 4200 threads. Not 100% of what your main cloak has. Just 100% bonus xp. And thats a fix cap. Anything else your char has do do individually. If you want to have 300% on all your alts to level (aka what they advertised), well you gotta push them all through raids from 100-300 yourself. individually. disappointed? yes, we all are. make your voice heard or blizz wont do anything.

The raids are also incredibly overtuned and have scaling issues, really not fun having to prog normal raid bosses for an hour to get a piece of green gear and 12crit that will both not exist in 90 days

"If you've never experienced Pandaria just stop and smell the roses ..." :D. I hold dear memories for MoP and remember back this time with a teardrop. For me, it was one of the most wonderful crafted expansions with exciting landscapes - and, without flying around at the beginning. Remember walking to the mountain station & climbing up the 'Himalayan Mountains'? Visiting the remote villages & temples high above? Finally beeing financially capable to invest in THAT Yak mount? The daily management of your personal garden? Learning cooking and enjoying the detailed meals? Still have a stock of vegetables from MoP to focus on some old achievements :). MoP WAS absolutely under appreciated at the time and today with visiting MoP via the Remix it's just flying back in time to catch a little nostalgia, how cool, adventurous and fun with the guild members we had it. Exactly this. - Ok, the Remix is kind of a recycling concept with a plenty of old cosmetics & mounts (which I love to collect and never got the chance to do bc of being unlucky in dungeons until today :) and throwing in skills from other classes to use. I never played Classic again, because I was there in the 2000s and it would be just a repetition from long bygone times, which don't work for me today (Hey, we all grew up somehow, I guess :). However, finally I decided to give my fresh brewmaster a chance - and for now, I love it! Grinding in the Dragon Islands need to pause for some weeks, that's ok ... :D

They nerfed the ALT cloak by like 90% I got 400 stats on my mains so far and barely any go to the alt... and the map toy is also not working Blizzard literally sucking the fun out of what should be a fun event.. they really need to fire some of these decision makers

Just wait until more people notice what they did on launch without telling anyone. Cloak is hardcapped on what it shares and it's barely anything now. Gear upgrades are absolutely ludicriously expensive. You could buy every transmog before upgrading any piece to max ilvl, mimd that you need to upgrade each piece before you can upgrade the next level. Farming is insanely slow, mobs and especially raids are COMPLETELY overtuned and give you green and sometimes blue gear etc etc. They saw how much fun people were having and said: no, nerf everything, too much fun.

I honestly think this was made in an attempt to replace "Classic" at some point and.... I'm here for it. I would love the chance to do a the later expacs..... but even the ability to do like "Vanilla" or "TBC/WOTLK" Remix. I think that would be super fun to do moving forward. I know it won't fill the need that purists would like (and I'm not using purist in a negative way here) but it could be an amazing way to experience the old content in a refreshing way without having to do an entirely new client.

Agreed. Retail's strong suit is class design, combining that with a classic ecosystem is genius. I like Classic but I'm over dumping hundreds of hours into doing the same thing multiple times over. It's also nice getting to see modern models again.

Agreed. I think Blizzard anticipates Cata to bleed a lot of players that might not return to Pandaria classic, even though it would be more popular. They'll probably stop classic after Cata, or Pandaria perhaps because there's no way they're releasing WoD classic.

What Addon are you referring to? It's definitely not Narcissus by Peterobox. That addon doesn't have a gem UI. Link it please.

Narcissus does. On the right of your character screen is an hourglass. Click that and the interface comes up.

The cloak for alts SUCKSSSSSSSS now. They stealth nerfed the EXP transfer so your alts only get about 25% of the +experience and 25% of the primary stat, as well as ZERO secondary stats transferring. It's actually faster to just use heirlooms on regular dragonflight if you're after an alt army... really really sad.

I was so excited to try this, but am finding it incredibly boring. The whole gearing thing might be okay if I didn't have to replace/check it and swap gems in and out every ten minutes. I'll refrain from final judgement until I finish leveling the character I made but idk if I'll do it any more than that. I literally fell asleep playing it last night, it's so dull.

I had so much fun playing today I didn't realize 9 hours had passed and it was 3am by the time I logged off. Mains cloak was at 38% extra XP by the end at level 28. Also those heroic scenarios are no joke, we were getting dumpstered by it

The exp is quite a bit slower than the main game as Blizz hates fun. Also, from what I read, Blizz HEAVILY nerfed the cloak stat carryover from mains to alts, especially the exp gains, which, again is due to Blizz hating fun. Luckily they haven't nerfed the the cogwheel abilities as they make a character feel powerful.

It’s crazy how excited I am to play this. It’s like a new-old expansion releasing in a small way but it’s going to be something that holds players over until TWW, and it will be well worth the grind. Not to mention; Pandaria. One of the best expansions we had and, yes, it was under appreciated. People didn’t like it because of Pandas, but I guess it just goes to show that the quality of content and gameplay might just outweigh the playable races we get. Funny how that works.

It should be pointed out, you can make a class trial character and run heritage armor quests, even if you have not leveled a character of that race to 50. I've done it on the tauren and the trolls.

Well, all I can say is that what you guys played on the PTR is NOT what we got. Not only is it slow leveling, it’s sadly not that fun. Because it’s slow and the gems effects sound spectacular but then they’re not. AND I heard the cloak is NOT account wide, and the exp boost from it on other characters is capped real low. So it’s not great for leveling alts. Unless something is bugged or changes, doubt I’ll go beyond getting the golden astral serpent.

People the only thing worth spending your coins on is the Garrosh heirlooms. Those items are not available in-game/retail, they removed them. Everything else you can still get in-game/retail. The only other things I can see spending you coin on are the new mount recolors because most likely those mounts will be removed when remix ends.

Classic is a totally different project. They'll stop doing classic only if it stops bringing profit, and Cata will determine it. If Cats performs badly, then classic will end with it and bliz will focus on SOD and retail instead

The new questing updated content is fantastic and my opinion wow needed the update at the time. You can't everyone happy though! I hope they continue classic because I do not like the idea of investing so many hours into building my toons just to have it all deleted.

I do have a question. If I dont have Dragonflight, would I be able to reach max level? I didnt buy the expansion at all, and I cannot learn Dragon Riding. So I don't know if I would be able to reach Max level in this situation.

You need to buy the expansion, dragonriding isn't necessary but if you already have the expansion it takes two extra hours to unlock your dragon and get most coins for upgrades
