Great review. I must also mention that the customer service at Daltechforce is great! I haven't bought the lacy belly band but do have their 6" wide belly band. My size was in between and they custom made it. I'm overweight and the belly band works great. I wear an undershirt with the belly band but, I also wear an undershirt with other IWB holsters.

Great review! It's what I use, too. I'm a pretty tall and skinny, so it works great with most outfits. I can still tuck in a blouse if I'm wearing dress clothes. It allows me to tuck the firearm into my pants and it's amazing how little printing there is and I carry a double stack.

Armed and Feminine I've also carried with this belly band nearly around my hips when I had to wear dress pants that couldn't support the weight of my carry gun. It was a helpful solution in that pinch. :]

Great review Dest. Entertaining and educational. Looks like a good option for some but probably wouldn't work for me as I am quite overweight. I'm still new to concealed carry but have found that OWB belt carry (w/sloppy outer shirt) or front pocket carry are both comfortable for me. But let's see some more sports, that was fun:)

Looks like a great alternative to the Galco bellyband I am more familiar with. They might look a little funny but you can carry when you have no belt support like when wearing exercise clothes. I have tried tucking an IWB holster into jogging pants and walking around with a 21 ounce pistol. You better tighten the string really tight. Lol. Great demonstration!

I have noticed alot of people who like the belly bands also tend to like the Smart Carry systems. I am not sure what advantages it would give you seeing how well the bands works for you but it may be worth looking at anyway as another skirt option at the minimum.

Hi +FateOfDestinee: I am disabled and I use crutches a lot. Various parts of my body are affected, mostly knees and ankles. Sometimes I can bare weight on my legs, using crutches, and those days I'm not so worried about. When I can't bare weight on my legs, that's when I'm more concerned about. So since I use crutches a lot, I was wondering would be the "best" way to carry? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. A video would be wonderful.

Destinee, My belly band has come in handy for me, twice when wearing tuxedos at two weddings, and on numerous other formal occasions. I was surprised at how securely it held my XDS-45 in place. It's a very underrated piece of gear and allows you to be armed when the attire is let forgiving. I was waiting for you to do a dunk but being the modest girl you are, you held back because you didn't want to show off. ;)

+Guns Gear & Fitness Ironically, I was doing some tree trimming, hauling a chainsaw and limbs around a few weeks ago and really pulled some back muscles. A friend suggested a bellyband holster as my usual IWB hybrid was out of the question. It works! Took the stress off my back and I can still go about my day armed with no problem. Glad you posted this. I opted for the DeSantis because I could get it locally...no Lace Trim, but I'll live without it ;-))) Great review!

I am not sure what brand it is, but I have used a belly band when I wear gym shorts (have gone from an LC9 to a P64 Makarov to the Glock 43 now) and my only complaint is that you HAVE to wear an undershirt or to me it gets extremely uncomfortable against the skin.

Somebody help... I can't find a holster that doesn't print. Even with a fairly baggy shirt. The flash-bang is great for the first few minutes you have it on but it is remarkably uncomfortable and where it moves when you move is unpredictable. The idea of having a gun in my bra is kind of cool though . Anyone have any ideas? What about the side draw version of this where your Firearms sits horizontally? I'm 5-3 and and carry a ruger LC9 or I would if I could find anything that worked.

The only reason I have not gone with a belly band, is the rubbing of the skin all day. I am wondering what is the best option for carrying a full sized model, with just a T-shirt and athletic shorts? The only method I have found useful for carrying my Government Model, is Thunderwear. I believe in carrying deep over a quicker draw, so what would be the prefered method for carrying in hot weather and thin clothing? Obviously wintertime is covered with options. Anyone interested in the best shoulder holster, is the Galco Miami Classic II holster, with the added belt fastening attachment sold individually. While it is not cheap, all the other holsters tried were such poor quality and fit. Hope this is useful, and if anyone has advice on a holster system that is for what is previously inquired, please feel free to comment.

I dig that holster, but it seems way too cumbersome unless I could get some distance between me and the threat, but then I could just flee and remove myself from the bad situation. Maybe it would be useful to me riding a bike or something and have that under my jersey. I think the un-likelihood of a cyclist being armed would give me enough time to present my firearm. So, it would really depend on the situation, which is pretty limited. But I guess it's better than not carrying at all. On the eating and re-adjusting, all the MSG and Salt in Chinese food will make you swell up.

ChiroRadioDad I don't have to worry about it popping out of my jeans, which is nice. It's also flexible, so I don't find it uncomfortable. That might also have something to do with how I wear it at the smallest part of my waist. The only time I really notice it pinching is a) after I've worn it all day (6-8 hours) or b) after I've had too much to eat.

Thanks for replying! I fan-boyed (or the equivalent of) out when I saw. Good to know you can wear the band on your hips, thats what I would prefer if I was jogging. Especially since I only practice my draw from my waist. I would hate to have to learn a totally new way to draw because the band had to be high up. The way I run now I take a camelbak that I can have decent access to my pistol, but that took a long time to get comfortable with. Like I said before keep up the greatness! - A loyal fan Doapsauce

Lovely video Destinee, cute and girly like us guys love but extremely informative too. I use one across my lower chest with a regular black button up shirt so I can access my Beretta 950 easily. I guess a girl could do the same and park the gun just under the mid cleavage, if its a small pocket pistol this should work.

I typically advise the females in my life to just let it print and be proud! Most guys aren't really a target for criminals unless they think you have cash or things they can easily trade for cash on the black market like guns... so open carry or obviously printing could make you a target for an ambush. But since women are targeted for other reasons, I think it's better to show that you aren't an easy target than can be overpowered. Keep up the good work! Really need more women CC'ing!
