u weld good it's just that will still crack if it's done like that
@thecadillacdanshow8658 Жыл бұрын
Where would it crack? I have never had any issues even on hoppers
@jasonbachta70292 жыл бұрын
Have you ever done reinforcements above the lower a arms between the coil? I'm starting to get a crack there.
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
Where the arm bolts to the frame? If so yes I cut out plates and welded them in
@anthonymaestas48632 жыл бұрын
Sorry, got a small question. Are you doing mig with gas or flux core? Do you weld different depending on the area or part or what you are able to afford or what's easier? Again, thanks for the awesome video.
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
I use gas 75/25 mixture with .035 solid wire as far as welding differently yeah it all depends on what I'm doing most the time I so cursive e's sometimes I whip it back and forth sometimes I just run a straight bead just depends on what I'm doing
@camefromnuthin69942 жыл бұрын
I used gasless flux core from blue demon

how do you feel about splitting the belly? to release all stress??
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
I did it on my oldsmobile I was building it to be a hopper but I dont really see it being worth it for a street car
@phreaktor2 жыл бұрын
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 What do you mean by “splitting the belly?”
@thecadillacdanshow86582 жыл бұрын
Usually it's done when building a hopper you cut the center crossmember of the frame along the top and the front and rear and stretch it open then add a plate of steel in the opening it changes the geometry of the springs and cylinders also makes the bottome of the crossmember a little higher to help from bottoming out
