Didn't the dancer on point (sorry don't know her name) end up breaking both her feet and can now no longer dance? Putting ballet in to a belly dance show to - 'inject it with class' was always an insult anyway...The dance has its own merit and high level of skill within the parameters of the natural body.

My mother would not allow me to dance....But when I was in my teens I went on point with no training and barefoot....I did it for a few seconds..yes I know stupid as hell ..i had to hide my love for dance..I love belly dance...Ballet and Belly dance are both so very beautiful...and I am 5 foot 2 ..too short for Ballet anyway..LOL but anyway to tell you what my mother was like ..Have you ever seen Carrie .the movie from the Stephen King book....well.she was not far from it...ugh I had no life as a teen..

@@racheallange2056 - 5'2 sounds perfect for belly dance - any height actually - I'm 5'.... Plus one can come and go from the dance as life permits - with ballet, once you stop that's it - no going back. Belly dance is SO nurturing and healing to do as an adult. Keep on dancin'!!

In my opinion the “main dancer" In which to name is unknown just ruined belly dancing, what she's doing is ballet+ belly dancing which doesn't makes sense.

She's accompanied by Tribal Fusion bellydancers that are clearly shown as such (Tribal Fusion is a modern blend of different dance styles such as flamenco, hip hop, "popping", yoga poses, cabaret bellydance, ATS, egyptian bellydance, etc.). So, I expect that they aren't even attempting to claim that this number is showing anything resembling a traditional bellydance. It really is a clear Fusion number that is ballet dominated.
