+Recked Frank He throws it with 2 hands, which generates a lot of revolutions and speed. If that ball hits the pocket, there's almost no chance of anything standing up afterwards
@Lugare20118 жыл бұрын
+Kole Linnenbrink Actually, he doesn't use his thumb. He has a video on his channel where he says he has a rare condition where he uses both hands for everything but without this condition, it's rather difficult to bowl without using your thumb and be as good as Jason. I used to bowl with a couple guys who did not use their thumb but also did not use both hands during approach. They were pretty good but definitely no Jason lol. I tried to bowl without using my thumb once. Let's just say it wasn't pretty at all haha. If I didn't drop the ball at me feet, it went straight into the gutter haha. Using both hands has nothing to do with adding more revs to the ball. It helps keep the ball stable during back swing. I haven't bowled since I shot my first 300 game back in October of '04 during league play. A guy I work with tagged me in a video of Jason when he won his first PBA major. I watched the whole game and it was amazing how the game came down to the last ball. I was like holy crap talk about intense lol. Then I was like, all excited about bowling again. I need to research balls and see what's new and get back into it. When I shot my 300 game, it wasn't until the start of the 10th frame that I realized I was only 3 balls away from my first 300 game. I was distracted up until the 7th frame but never paid attention to my game. I used to have a tee-shirt shop and I created a book with military designs for the local VFW and the gentleman I was talking to in regards to the book stopped out and was talking to me about the book while I was bowling. This was my distraction lol. When I walked up to the approach to start the 10th frame, I forgot my towel. When I went to go get towel I noticed everyone was standing behind the tables at my lane and I was like what in the world is everyone doing lol. So I looked up at score board, stared for a moment, turned and looked at my brother and said, " holy shit". He replied, "one ball at a time brother. Go get 'em". Everyone laughed and I immediately started to shake a little. So I wiped ball off and took my approach. Walked up and threw my ball and as soon as the ball left my hand, I knew it was going to be a strike. Everyone cheered as I walked back all while I got a little more nervous. Grabbed ball and took approach again. Walked up and threw ball and once again, as soon as ball left my hand I knew it was going to be another strike. Everyone cheered again and at this point, I'm a nervous wreck lol. I stood there drying my hand over fan while holding my ball. I took my approach. Stood there for what seemed like an eternity but had to step down because I was shaking to bad plus had to re-dry my hand lol. I thought to myself, just get up there and throw the ball like I have been. So I took my approach again. Walked up and threw the ball. At that moment I knew by the way the ball left my hand I had just bowled my first 300 game and I fell to my knees as I watched the ball go down the lane and bury the pocket sending all 10 pins in the pit. It actually took a second or two to set in before I celebrated but wow, what a feeling :) If by chance you see my comment Jason, I would like to thank you for putting the spark back in me to want to bowl again.

@jakeholbein7287 жыл бұрын
how do you get onto a staff? i always wondered
@flipper90387 жыл бұрын
jake holbein its simple. But hard. You NEED to at least average a 225 in 3 or more leagues for a regional staff, 230 for a international staff. I averaged 226,231,234, and 227 in my leagues and only got on motive regional staff. Its hard. You need to do that, you need to be involved with your bowling alleys (aka work there, own the pro shop or own the center), everyone in the area should know about you and have positive feedback about you. Its always good to have people look up to you too, also. If there isn't many staffers for any company around, you're in good shape. Location is big too. In my area, its only me and bj Moore that are staffers so that's how I got my sponsorship. Just be involved in the community, bowl really well, do a lot of tournaments, win them also, and make sure to always have a positive attitude.

Sure that's a pretty easy "house" oil pattern, but look at the pin action. It's almost identical every time! The no-thumb technique isn't cheating. He can still find the line and nail it every time. I'm a big Belmo fan and I like how he's thought outside the box to great success!
@TheRealCATM8 жыл бұрын
It's not cheating if the PBA and usbc says nothing against it

well duh throw any pro on a house shot And they'll throw a 300 with ease. I average 227 on house and I'm 18 years old, that's nothing compared to any pro. Belmonte probably averaged 240 when we was 18 on house lol

US open oil pattern, or any sport pattern, I'm lucky if I'm able to score in the low 100's range. I'm a decent bowler, but I have the utmost respect for these pros who can crush the pocket on any oil pattern. I can't hang with the greats who can routinely strike on televised broadcasts like bosses. I'm not a super-hero like Belmo, Norm Duke, or Pete Weber. Lol. I do pretty well on a house pattern, but it's good to hear from someone who knows how difficult this game can be. ;-) I average in the low 200's in league play, but these professional oil patterns are brutal.
@TaiNiPoni10 жыл бұрын
I've shot 7 perfect games open bowling with my friends but never in league. When all the people crowd around my pair after so many strikes it just screws with me. And 2 years ago I had the front 11 and some lady actually had the nerve to walk down while I was cleaning my ball and getting ready and asked me "have you ever shot 300". I swear its irritating but oh well I'll get one when its my turn.
