Took a lesson with Mark Baker in January this year, he got me more balanced at the line and helped me not pull my ball. It helped me as I went on to shoot 756, 747, and 734 the next 3 weeks in league. Unfortunately I ended up with tendinitis in my right shoulder and am out for a few more weeks. I will admit Belmo the only 2 hander that IMO is sooo fluid. I dont really know how to explain it, its just his form looks good to me, so easy and fluid.

Any video that starts with Mark Baker.. I'm all in! Got to admit I have never been a fan of Jason.. until this past week when I watched him up close and in person at the TOC. I was sitting directly behind lane 23 when he tossed his 300 against Rash and, after I set all my preconceived notions about him aside, was amazed at his accuracy and repeatability on a pair that was making some of the others look a bit silly. New respect for his game.

Great analysis coach! I would add Belmo's ability to change his ball speed and not change the REV rate. That is a rear ability for a two-hander. Usually, the speed of the ball is matched with the amount of REV's. In his case, he can play deep inside lines, with low speed and even add the REV's to make the ball recover. GOAT IMO.

Maybe more so than any other sport, it's nearly impossible to say who's best ever. If ya go with different era's than yeah he's definitely best this era. If you been around bowling for any length of time, you've seen the game change primarily to the equipment. Honestly should be evaluated by Platstic and Rubber Era, Urethane, reactive, modern. Not taking away from him but gotta look at the variables IMHO.

Your video demonstrates to perfection why this type of bowling should be kept in the local allies for fun….. wrist support used for leverage {{{left hand on the ball}}} until bottom of the swing plane at the release point…. Hence wrist supports banned by PBA…. Hand should come off the ball before the downswing begins…….TD as example…. If no one does anything to bring this sport into a rules based compliant based system that promotes honor and integrity then the sport is flawed and is in CHAOS.

I really don’t see a problem with how anyone bowls. People’s bowling style requires skill to be consistent and you mentioning wrist supports is a physical object not part of the persons body. Just because people aren’t bowling the original way doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Most two handed bowlers I know use two hands because it doesn’t hurt their back. But also most one handed people I know have back problems now and they’re in their 50s and 60s right now. I think since people can choose how they want to bowl they should just choose what they’re more comfortable with. If two hands really gives an advantage then two handers should be able to outperform one handed in every league tournament right? Bowling is one of those sports where you’re really playing against yourself your goal is to get the highest score and no ones stopping you from doing it. As in the other player isn’t physically stopping you from getting the highest score. Yeah, if their score is higher than yours, then you lose but that’s not something the other player caused you to do. Two handed and one handed players are all able to bowl 300 games so really it’s down to the players during each game.

i agree two hand has taken the game and made it boring, it is a different game, they can not say Belmo is the goat, he plays a different game. the Pba is not very pro in my mind the pba 50 has more respect for the game and it's past two hand bowling if it keeps up in numbers will be the end of pro bowling.

@@alansabin7487 I think since two handed bowling has became more popular it has attracted a wider audience bringing more kids and teenagers to the sport. At least where I live. In the past 20 years my city has had 5 bowling alleys but during the early 2000s two of them closed down and the last three were on the brink of shutting down but since the early 2010s the alleys started getting more packed even though most of the new bowlers are two handed and younger. There are still younger folks that use one hand but now the remaining three alleys are no longer at risk of shutting down and there is even talk about a new one in construction. Bowling was slowing dying here until about 7 years ago when it started gaining momentum again. We’re a fairly medium sized city so having another alley open up is good news

interesting point of view, they changed the game for Wilt, they changed the game Sam Snead, Indy 500 on and on but as another post stated and bowling is a dying sport the 2 handed has helped keep the sport alive, hard call on my end, Being a jr. that averaged 185 in 1960 i quit came back 50 years later and not following the sport was amazed at the 2 handed , i now averager 195 with the 60 year old Manhattan rubber watching other 200 average bowlers (one handed) that would be a 160 in the 1960"s , i have now witnessed a bunch of 300 games now, back then a 600 series was only the best , 700's were one a month i respect your thought
