Thanks Dan. I am amazed at how well some of the structures are in. It would be cool if a few of these mine buildings were somewhat restored for educational purposes.

As usual a great Comprehensive and informative video. I am not able to do what you do. Thanks so much from an old man who loves mining, geology and history.

Incredible journey to the past. Thank you. How do you get your information and pictures? I'm trying to get some info on the Searchlight Mining and Milling Co. I worked at the Ruth there in the 80's and now have a friend that is refurbishing it. Having worked there as an assayer in the past,I know where all the hot deposits still await that miners dreams. What I don't have is much info on that particular shaft. Was hoping you could help in my quest. You do such incredible work. Any help would be appreciated.

I have found much of my information at the Library of Congress, UNR Special Collections and UNLV Special Collections. Good luck!

There is still an ore bucket hanging in the back way up top 😮

Looks the same as when I was there in 1990. You went upstairs at that mill ? Brave soul as the upstairs wasn't that good of shape in 1990. The mineshaft up the hill was still open I have heard it is now collapsed. There is a lower shift not sure about its condition.

I did not go all the way upstairs at the lower mill site. The stairs were way to sketchy and I was by myself. Glad you got to see the Mill way back. This location is remote today, I could imagine back then.

Wait a moment - where is the cup of coffee in this video ??? I am confused 🤔

Good call. I need to recall the video and edit accordingly. 🤣🤣🤣

If you continue up the road you would have come to the mineshaft at the near top of the mountain no doubt that road is impassable as it was not in good shape in 1990.

I went as far as I could in my side by side and hiked the remainder to reach the upper mine site.
