The parts that really got me were of Ravenpaw visiting Barley, Firestar, and Graystripe and it showing their old life together. The nostalgia hit me hard. And the part of Squirrelflight mourning Shrewpaw all day and night. God, the part where she breaks down at the end broke me. How does an animation about feral cats cause more emotion in me than a sad movie 😭

This entire MAP was incredible, but Ravenpaw's & Squirrelpaw's parts absolutely broke me. Especially the latter. I will NEVER get over the loss of Shrewpaw, it's one of the few scenes that made me genuinely sob when I read it for the first time.

The skill level of all the participants in this M.A.P. has shown me I have a lot to aspire to. The way everyone was able to convey a clear message and rich emotion really showcases their creativity and passion for their art. For the frame-by-frame animations, I was blown away by their fluidity. Even the tweened moments of PMV were smooth despite all the changing parts. I also loved all the different effects people put on their StarClan cats. Like, everyone had their own style of making them seem mystical. The backgrounds were amazing because whether they were highly detailed or not, you could tell how each one was tailored in the artist's unique style and their chosen characters felt a part of them. Everyone was incredible in this. Even though, this is not my first M.A.P., this is my first -completed- M.A.P., so it will become a special memory for me. Thanks to the host and fellow creators for giving me this opportunity. ~Star

I saw this MAP right when it first came out and I've been looking for it for so long!! I really love it, it stuck in my mind for 2 years It was 2:39 that always stuck in my mind. Like imagine seeing the ghost of your childhood friend, realizing they died but that they made such a long journey to see you because they always kept you in their heart and thought about you even though it had been years since you saw each other. Idk man it just gets me.

When I clicked on this MAP I was not expecting to cry. but I did. I cried. I was fine (if a bit sad) until it got to the part where Ravenpaw started saying his goodbyes to Barley. I was tearing up but not crying. It wasn't really until he runs all the way to the lake to say his goodbyes to Firestar and Graystripe that I legit started to bawl. Heck, I'm tearing up again just thinking about how they never got to say their last goodbyes in canon. I'm glad to see it happen here. Thank you to all the beautiful animators for this MAP.

in my opinion, squirrelpaws reaction to shrewpaws death in the books was a little.. underwhelming. Since shrewpaw is one of squilfs closest friends I thought she would have cried her eyes out. The person who made the part for squilf and shrew definetly made squilf do the perfect reaction for shrews death.

This has always been a song to hit me in the feels, and kind of personal with some things with COVID relating to a friend and /time is not on our side, but I pretend, it's alright/. I've never seen it put to an animatic, in any fandom, so this is really touching. I can't believe I only saw the MAP call the other day. I'm so glad I clicked and YT saw fit to put this in my sidebar recommendations today! (2:22 /won't hold you back beloved/ ahhh; 3:24 /see the wild has come for you/ - this gives me Pete's Dragon imagery. And it's interesting to think of StarClan as wild, instead of on some levels more rigid than the clans. Or even have that mystery back, like the earlier book arcs. I guess my age in this fandom is showing, heh.)
