I love you Captain Sandy and like Captain Lee but I love how you are so much more hands on and Lee never leaves the bridge. I'm not saying he is not a good captain but I think you are such a wonderful person on top of being the best Captain out of all the Below Deck franchises

I had no idea Captain Lee wasn't returning to Below Deck, the show he got off the ground so that all these other people could get a piece of the pie. His character and no nonsense, firm but fair approach to working on a vessel was the main reason the show was such a hit in the when it launched. If he was blindsided by Bravo then they really did do him dirty because it was literally just a couple of short months ago when Andy Cohen had Lee on WWHL, as a solo guest which we all know is usually reserved just for the A list names they can recruit to appear on the show, to supposedly celebrate ten years of Below Deck which in hindsight appears to of been his farewell party. I actually thought that was strange at the time but I'm guessing Andy already knew he'd been replaced by Captain Kerry and unbeknownst to Lee he'd already shot his final ep. This was clearly Andy's way of trying to make nice (well they can stick a few balloons and a glass of warm prosecco where the sun don't shine!). I for one will definitely miss Captain Lee on the original Below Deck series, he's a great guy to work for, a fantastic Father, a wonderful, devoted and loyal husband and a selfless and charitable, all round good guy, they simply don't make them like him anymore. I hope his health has come back to where it once was so that if retirement is in his sights, I highly doubt he's done with his life at sea just his life at sea and a camera crew, he gets to kick back and set to to work on his bucket list as I know he still has so much he wants to do.

I hated they didn't give him a proper seed off with all his old crew. They gave him 30 min & it was short & sweet. He deserves better !
