Here's the thing. I'm a millennial. Every job I've ever had. I've been told oh great fantastic, you're such a hard worker, keep it up there's a promotion coming your way. I've never had a bad review. Promotion time comes. The other millennial, that's late all the time, whines etc. Gets the promotion. I get told oh you have to do A. I do A. Well we meant do B. I do B. Well, well, uh, do C. I do C. I have all the evidence in the world I'm capable. But it goes yo an underperforming should be fired employee every time. But if I dare say anything, then I'm a "whiney millenial."
