‘Below Deck Med’: Captain Sandy REACTS to Tumi & Natalya's Clash (Exclusive)

Tumi opened up about why she clashed with Natalya Scudder and where they stand now. Captain Sandy also dished on Luka Brunson stepping up as her bosun this season. If you read Tumis stance you can see she is very uncomfortable with the questions about Natalya. She definitely knows that Sandy, the public and the interviewer have caught on about what she was like. She loves the Camera and plays to it. Me thinks she realises that the Chickens have come home to roost. I do however wish her well in her future endeavours and hope she adjusts to treating people better. She has potential

I feel like everyone is kissing her butt and not really holding her accountable. That' what happened on WWHL It's so obvious that Tumi's missteps were the main cause for nobody being able to get along and no disputes ever being resolved. She sucks at being a leader. Hope to never see her again. I used to adore her.

I do think Kyle was wrong for how he spoke to Natalya, but she is the common denominator of most of the trouble (not Kyle). Natalya was the one who was screaming and waving her arms at people. She disrespected just about everyone. Sandy does not seem to be a good judge of character*; she completely missed the boat on who Natalya apparently really is. I see Natalya as a master manipulator (e.g., calling Sandy her 'boat mom' while shedding crocodile tears.) Natalya's real problem (other than not wanting to stand down when Tumi arrived) was her 'open relationship'; she wanted to leave because her 'boyfriend' was sleeping with other women, but she decided to first wreck the boat crew's relationships in her wake. Like I said, she looks like a master manipulator (who met her match in Kyle) to me. *Also of note is Sandy 'kissing up' to the guy from France who, from what I have seen, does absolutely little to no work (thereby making the other deck crew have to pick up his slack.)

You're delusional. Nat ran the boat perfectly when she was CS. Took care of everyone, bent over backwards to make up for missing crew. No problems, no complaints. Tumi and Kyle show up and are vain jack**ses. The boat has been a complete mess since they came on. One of the most amateur and nasty seasons we've seen. I thought Hannah was the worst CS. Tumi is not far behind. You just don't like Nat and that's okay. But don't twist facts.

Midway through Episode 10 of this season (8), did anyone notice the chef saying (during his 'confessional' re the conversation he had with Tumi about the dinner menu), "Any chance I can get the word 'white' in, I am going to do it." It seemed very much like a thinly-veiled racist comment to me. What else could he have possibly meant? I believe what he said had nothing to do with the dinner; rather, it had everything to do with his favoring Natalya, who is white, while Tumi is not. This type of comment is how people get away with racism (e.g., the excuse will be: 'I was talking about the 'white dinner.') I am all too well aware of how racism, bullying, and bad behaviors slide right past most people; the devil is truly in the details.
