2 years? Oh dear Carrie you're in for a world of pain. I've been there, done that, it became so bad I was literally rolling on the floor sceaming because I refused to up the painkillers any more so I wouldn't turn into a vegetable. After 7 years I went for a more radical solution: I had osseointegration surgery on my right lower leg. The prosthetic now attaches directly to the bone. It's not perfect but soooo much better than before.

I also had a sore spot on end of my leg. Mine was a lump under skin didn't hurt much but since my amputation was due to cancer was a little concerned. Went to doctor he told me it was only a bone spur. If it gets to irritating me too much I can have it removed but so far is livable. Only reason I did it was that someone had to stick around to make my wife's life living hell for another 48 years.

I have the same issue!! It’s horrible- I am also Bka, my surgery was September 2021…and I have never had a single day without pain, but ima try the callas pads, Also, Where did you get those rings? I’ve never heard of those before but I think they would be super helpful for me….

Understand how you feel. Once i did not pau attention to my stump. Ended up with a blister that cover my stump. Dr gave me some cream after it wsd drained. Stay safe and hop on

@@ElectiveAmputation yes you are right. I once fell and had a golf ball size bump on the end of my stump. Never let it stop you from living your life to the fullest

Can you clarify your first question please? I have the Modular socket at my house now. I have a zoom call this week to try it on for the developer. I expect a few more months before it is complete. So exciting!

Great ideas I spent the winter in Bogota Colombia and I have the same problem I wear about a 5 and a 3 sock I have a pin lock system and my bone also was rubbing my socket and became quite sore with my extra activity at first adding the extra socks helped but then as my leg shrank even more it really started hurting when I got back to the United States But I was still a month or so away from reaching my hometown where my prosthesis was so II had a crazy idea of trying to figure out how to make the relief in my socket bigger or something to get the pressure off the end of the bone what I came up with worked really really well with for me I took a whole saw and cut a hole in my socket above or should I say where the bone would rub what a instant relief I was afraid the edges were going to dig in but they did not I think this probably only works because I have a pin lock type system anyway I hope I explained it enough to understand
