So everything went absolutely perfect until about 15:45 when he goes to the homebrew browser. It’s just not on my screen… idk what to do from here… edit I just went back on the website because it’s a little different now. Turns out you also have to download the binary which is a separate download and put that in the homebrew folder

You should just be able to connect the console to the internet and it should perform a system update. If not, I believe the letter bomb site will let you choose. 4.2 instead of 4.3

Hey, So quick question, a couple years ago we did the original home brew, well I chimed in and checked out KZbin for back up support. Anyways, I just found it (Had the Switch, miss it..whole other story) and plugged it up and Home brew is on there. I see games on the console memory, and nothing on the homebrew screen...Tried to do the letter bomb thought it was an up date??? IT isn't my forte. That didn't work. I turned it off. Should I just start all over? What would one go about doing that if she isn't looking for anything crazy? Just a little old school Zelda, Mario, you know the classics. Thanks. As someone who likes to understand what I'm doing before doing it. I was wondering why these four specific IOS/WAD files are needed? Since there seem to be a lot of versions in the NUS tool. Without any prior knowledge it seems to be quite the gamble what needs to be done there. :-)

The wad files manually install the needed files for the CIOS installer which let's you play games from an HDD All the different stuff you see in the NUS tool are for different versions and regions of the wii

When I am at the first step on the Wii, after downloading all the wards and everything, the homebrew channel says can be installed. The bootmii says can only be installed as an iOS.

SD is the best method. Nintendo does not care about wii online anymore(hence the servers shutting down). It doesn't matter

Make sure the date and time and language is set correctly for your console When you're on the letter bomb website, make sure you're selecting the correct region for your console at the top of the web page before entering your Mac address.

When this happens it's usually the controller, is it third party? Make sure it is a name brand Wii motion Plus controller preferably. If you haven't already, try another controller

When this happens, it's most likely a problem with the SD card. You can try reformatting the card to fat32 or try using a different SD card altogether. Only other thing you can do is try redownloading the CIOS installer, it's possible maybe the download got corrupted Does your SD card have a lock switch on it? Make sure it's not locked

Ah, then that has to do with your wifi most likely. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your wii. If you have a phone with a mobile Hotspot you can try using that as well for a connection
