Thanks for the setup info. But I am having some issues with games not saving the data after you play them and for the wii fit, (not sure if it should save to the SD card or the hard drive), also I can't seem to add games to the favorites folder (click on the star icon which add games, but after turning wii off when it restarts they are not there). Could you cover all the settings (14 pages) in the wii/wii flow. Thanks for any help you might be able to give me. My grand kids love the wii and I want to get it working for them to enjoy while they are small.

Hi! The issue of not being able to save games in WiiFlow is often caused by one of these problems. Here are some steps you can try to fix it: 1. Check Storage Permissions Make sure your SD card or USB drive isn’t write-protected (check the physical lock switch). Ensure the drive is formatted as FAT32 and has enough free space, in your case, you might want to try reformatting it. Update WiiFlow Make sure you’re using the latest version of WiiFlow or WiiFlow Lite, along with updated plugins. Verify the Game File The game file might be corrupted. If possible, re-rip it from the original disc or check it with a tool like Wii Backup Manager. Check Your cIOS WiiFlow needs a properly configured cIOS to save games. Make sure you have cIOS 249, 250, or 251 installed. If you're unsure, try using the d2x cIOS installer.

I used GCBM to add GC games to my sd. On WiiFlow i see just the games with .ciso extension but not the one with .iso. Do i need to reload something in order to see all the games on my SD? Thanks!

Hey I've got a question. I've already installed WiiFlow for Wii backups and I have started to do this so I can play WADs, and the route I've chosen is to run everything off my 256gb sd card, no external USB drive or HDD. I don't know what to select for what type of SNEEK (SNEEK+DI [SD] or SNEEK [S]). My main concern is that I don't want this affecting my ability to run Wii games (disc ISOs) from SD. I think I want emunand to take effect only for WADs. And really this is only for running World of Goo and a couple of other apps. So if it's too much trouble I will abort. Thanks in advance for answering my question!

I've never done it the SD card way so I can't speak to it too much But yes, your option for selection would be sneek+di Shouldn't affect your Wii games

@@BelowAverageGaming Alright thanks. In the end I decided to only install a few WADs to my real NAND because I have plenty of space on it, rather than going through the extra steps with emunand. But thanks for all the tutorials, it really helped a lot and my Wii games run great from WiiFlow.

Great video mate! So im having a weird issue - everything is working well except for wii games on the wiiflow app. I have my wii u games installed on an external sdd and wii and GC games installed on 256gb sd card. Now both wii and GC games work on GX loader no problem but on the wiiflow app only GC games work, when I try to load a wii game I'm thrown out back onto the wii menu. I've checked settings and tried CISO - 250, 251 and auto. No luck? It has to be the wiiflow settings right? As it workd on gx loader like I said. Would appreciate your help buddy 👍

There's a couple of different things that you can try. Unfortunately a lot of things can cause this problem. As a test I would say to try to play your Wii games on a different device. For example, if you're using the SD card, try using a USB drive and see what happens, if you're using a USB drive, try using the SD card and see if the results change. When in doubt you can always do the CIOS installer over, no harm in that. wii.hacks.guide/cios-vwii.html As a last resort, you could also uninstall everything for WiiFlow and try again because perhaps a file got corrupted along the way.

@@BelowAverageGaming thanks for the swift reply. Yeah I've already tried the CIOS installer and didn't work. I haven't partitioned my drive so it will be tricky to transfer my sd games to HD. It's just weird that works on GX but not on wiiflow 🤷♂️

When I load fw_img_loader I get the Wii U Menu Screen on never gets past there. On the small screen it’s the same but a random line of pixels. I checked and I have aroma updated.

When you hold the B button down and power on the system it doesn't take you anywhere? That's a built-in feature of the aroma custom firmware. If you're running aroma and that doesn't work, chances are your B button is broken or you need to press it harder

If I choose default it boots up and if I choose nanddump it takes me to that menu but when I try fw_img_loader it just boots but doesn’t do anything but the garbled pixels on 1 line on my Wiiu pad. The strange thing was I didn’t have fw_img_loader originally so I downloaded it and put it in the plugins.

I’ve followed your guide all the way and I’m stuck at the “Reloading bootmii IOS!” But in the text that displays on the monitor, I also see “No valid “FAT” partition found” EDIT: Nvm, I just had to make sure my drive was MBR and not GPT. Still get stuck at Reload bootmii iOS though

Can you use a hard drive bigger than 2tb with the Wii u? Want the whole library from all 3 wiiu/wii/gc including wiiu/wii ware and a couple ps1 games I’m guessing I’ll need about 8tb of space and a decently sized sd card for the ps1 stuff this possible? Or stick to the Wii

I've gotten most things to work here but my problem is that my wii games kick back to the menu in WiiFlow and USB Loader gx goes to black. Weird thing is Wii U and GC games seem to work. Initially tried a samsung T7 which displays everything fine but wont boot Wii games. T5 isnt working either. I ordered the external HDD from the link with a y splitter and the Wii U isnt prompting to format the drive so I'm stuck at that step. Not really sure what to do at this point.

Sorry there's a lot here lol so your main issue is Wii games don't work? Steps to try, Make sure your Wii games actually work. Download the dolphin emulator and see if they load in that. If they work then your games are good. Secondly, you said you're using the Wii U? I would try doing the CIOS installer again if you haven't already : wii.hacks.guide/cios-vwii.html Lastly, in Wiiflow you can set your CIOS individually for each game. Try setting one of them to 249 and see if it works
