Started watching your videos recently....thanks for the new lack of sleep! Just kidding, LOVE what you are doing. You are so knowledgeable about what you are pulling up and the write up about the articles on the videos as you pull them up is so cool! Did a dig at an old trash pit on some property we bought to build on some years ago and it was a blast. Nothing valuable, which was fine, but found a bunch of really cool old bottles intact from the 20s and thirtys. Bunch of old dairy bottles and the carriers they used to deliver them. Donated them to a country store to use as a display.

I grew up in Racine! That was so cool you found something from there! Clarendon Shoop was basically a snake oil salesman. After the Food and Drug Act passed in 1906, he had to change all of his “cures” to remedies. We have the Shoop Park Golf Course, a public golf course created from land he donated. His home is now a funeral home.

Near the end, a clear cut glass / pressed glass piece about the size of a shot glass maybe a bit bigger than an actual shot glass, is called a toothpick holder.. Common in that era, but rare to find now as you can see, the deep grooves make them fragile, and more are broken even collections every year... They were made in the Carnival glas era from 1910's through the 30's in many patterns. Prior to 1910 time they were clear glass as the one you found. Late 1800's time frame and used in nicer restaurants. Good find.
