I bought my Belstaff Trialmaster jacket in 1976 and rode in it all over England. I did not realize at the time the legend behind the product but I do now. 41 years on, the jacket is still with me and in perfect nick plus the patina.Excellent little film. Apart from the jacket I have the exact same table lamp!

Thats amazing, how many times did you wax it?

@@spectrumhorizon1392 Believe it or not I never have, but I have to clarify the jacket has been hanging in a closet all the time since 1981 when I moved to a warmer climate and I did not need it in my rides.

Rebuilding A Legend We love that with each #adventure, our wax cotton jackets take on a patina unique to the individual traveler. From time to time, though, we suggest a reproof to restore #vitality & #function to the garment. #SpringCleaning Explore Men's: bit.ly/1nUb9AV Explore Women's: bit.ly/1faRseP

Do I need to use cast iron pots, ye olde wooden spools of cotton from 1912, and have wooden ducks about while doing this?

Lovely piano playing...not sure I can be bothered to reproof my Staniland though when the time comes. Perhaps leave this job for the pros...

I use barbour or belstaff wax, which ever is cheaper. I rewax my mojave every summer outside and I use a heat gun on is lowest setting to help melt the wax in the jacket. You can also use a hair blow dryer.
@spectrumhorizon13923 жыл бұрын
Put the wax in water and put it on the stove. Wait until melted and apply evenly.

オイル系のジャケットは日本の気候に全く合わないよな。まぁ、ベルスタッフも速攻で日本から撤退したし
