Beam river is it a great water way nice bream, and haven’t been there for a while didn’t know about those hire boats. Beats dragging a boat from home.

Yeah we have been there on many occasions and only just learned about the hire boats. Its even easier then dragging the kayaks down too

Yet again another great video Alan. That one was probably my favourite out of the past 50 videos due to all of the drone footage and especially that it was different scenery. The Abel river looks like a beautiful spot. Love to fish there one day. Also, what do think is better in port Phillip, grubs or paddle tails for soft plastics

Thanks Paul, I really appreciate the kind feedback. Really trying to add some cinematic stuff to vids were possible which is much easier when fishing with others. In Port Phillip Bay worm imatations are by far the best. Otherwsie small paddletails.

I used a 7-14 kg rod with a class line of 2-4 kgs. I used a green small soft lure, I tied a hook up further and and a weight way down on the line. I just can’t catch fish in canning reserve(Marybyrnong river). I tried since 3 months and I couldn’t Catch a single fish. Could you please give me some tips and recommendations about where I should go to fish. I am a beginner
@fishingmad
@fishingmad Жыл бұрын
The Maribyrnong River is surprisingly a really tricky system with soft plastics and lures. It does take some time to really master it. For starters you need to drop the rod class to a 1-3 or 2-4 kilo rod and fish with very light line, i usually fish 4lb. We have some detailed video guides in the FishingMad Members website thats great for beginners thats shows step by step how to prepare, setup, and techniques that might be helpful for you as your getting started.

Another quality production mate. I would really appreciate your opinion on the Shimano Miravel C3000HG reel & can I use braid line on it. I like the Vanford but can't justify spending that much for the amount of fishing I get time to do. I'm only fishing inshore for Tailor, KG, Trevally, squid etc.. Thanks Alan
@fishingmad
@fishingmad Жыл бұрын
The Miravels are great, I have a couple of the 2500HG models and they perform very well. Even options like the Daiwa Exceler and Laguna are great affordable options that really get the job done.

Leave it with me happy to add the details in the description for you. Just for you the gear was a Samurai infinite 2-6lb rod, Shimano Stella FK2500 reel, Gosen 16x braid, Zman ST Grubz in blood oil on a 1/20 hws jighead. Was a dynamite combination. We also got a few on surface lures and cranks

@@fishingmad I have G. Loomis, Sage (Fly fishing) and a few others, some of my favorites are the 1980s Daiwa IM6 Fire Wolf and Berkley IM7 Select Air. A good rod lasts a very long time if you take care of it.

Which areas do you fish ? Right now the water temp is dropping so many of the smaller reddies drop of but the bigger ones come on, and the trout. Just requires a lot of patience and being able to keep making chages.
