Close to two decades ago I was allowed ,as a non student, to have a two hour radio show on WBCR, Beloit college radio. The Thursday night show was for the purpose of promoting local live music. I would tell folks who was playing where and when and play some of their songs on air. The bands loved it as well as the venues that I was helping to promote. The first year it was hard to come up with enough music to fill a two hour show. I was trying to only play bands that played in Beloit. Fred was able to give me a list of every band that had played on campus at any of the four different venues. That really gave me a MUCH larger play list. It sure is nice to see his face again.
