Ben Affleck Admits How Painful Jennifer Garner Divorce Was

Ben Affleck is getting candid about his split from Jennifer Garner. The Oscar-winning actor detailed his alcohol addiction and how it affected his family in a new interview with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America." He revealed that at one of his lowest points he would drink every night until he passed out. But throughout his struggles with drinking and depression, the hardest thing for Ben to accept was the end of his marriage. "I never thought that I was gonna get divorced," he said. "I didn't want to get divorced. I didn't want to be a divorced person. I really didn't want to be a split family with my children. And it upset me because it meant I wasn't who I thought I was. And that was so painful and so disappointing in myself."

@@AnitaD28 I never said that addiction is a result of bad parenting. But with education, proper guidance and support, it can be alleviated and hopefully cured. That’s why people go to rehab and attend support group meetings. I am just saying that JG has the values and tenacity that could possibly steer her children away from their dad’s family’s disease.

Am rose - he’s an alcoholic and they always have that risky behavior when drinking . Basically, the nanny took advantage of a drunk. Shame on her.

He an adult He had a choice unfortute his choice with the bad vices of booze and cheating ended his marraige he also before the papers were even signed off he was hooking up with other women shauna sexton and lindsay, but jenn just wants child support from him. How they worked it out.i beleive she put in the papers he must be clean and sober and not bring his gfs around the kids if he wants to be with them. He being honest that its constant battle that he thought ok i can drink normal and socially after work but it kicked the bad gene back in.
