This is another reason why I love this show. Everyone struggles, no one's perfect and it's authentic and no unnecessary cartooning of real life problems. Hope someday everyone has their realization that life does get better. If it's not better,why worry, Parks and Rec is still here :)

I’m stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii and my whole family lives on the east coast. I was unable to go home for the holidays and was all alone for Christmas and new year’s this year. Military life can get lonely and depressive at times but the comedic duo of Ben Wyatt and Chris Traeger helped me through it. This was literally the best holiday gift I received this year!!!

Hang in there, friend. When I was in the worst of mine I would watch nothing but humor all day and never laugh a single time. But something did make me laugh again. I forget what it was, probably something really dumb, but I remember thinking “omg I just laughed!” and of course the depression didn’t disappear, but that moment was really a bright spot. You’ll laugh again! Just hang tight until you get there.

I actually relate to Chris somewhat. I've found myself in a similar situation where I feel like I have to keep a strict regiment of diet and daily exercise, where I feel guilty if I skip a day because I need to rest and I get angry at my body or feel shame after eating something like a hamburger when I didn't "need it"
