Hes right about how Tyson approaches this fight. Tyson has been a front foot fighter for about 6 fights now dating back to Wilder two and its been good for him but previously, he was a footwork, slip jab counter hard to nail type of fighter, that is what he needs to be against usyk and if he does, it’ll be a shutout, not even that competitive. If he tries to just bull Usyk, it will end up like the AJ fights where youre playing into Usyks clever cunning. Tyson is very clever, he needs to be that in this fight, he doesnt need to “out man” this guy like he did Whyte and Wilder, he needs to out think Usyk and use his evasive skills and his length rather than his weight. Just my opinion and we’ll see. He himself has intimated that he will go back to that version of Fury for this fight because he knows he’s in with a sharp boxing intellect.
@grandmakiller5 ай бұрын
True, and it will look better for Tyson if he out-boxes Usyk this way rather than knocks him out after everyone saying how Usyk is too skilled for him. I’d rather see that than a knockout personally.
@SuicideJones335 ай бұрын
One of the rare sensible comments I've seen on this cesspit we call KZbin. I'd agree with you, but I'd add in that the one thing he needs to carry from his previous fights, that he has done all of his career, is make sure to use his weight in the clinch. Just because he shouldn't be using his size and weight advantage as his main route to victory overall, neither should he forget it when Usyk DOES close the distance. Got to smother and lean on him. But as you say, Usyk is a very intelligent fighter, and one of the most skilled Heavyweights we've ever seen. His accolades as an Amateur and Cruiserweight back that up if the eyes fail you, his constant movement, workrate, combination punching, body to head variation, and sturdy chin all give all but a handful of Heavyweights throughout history a very difficult time. Great fight, can't wait.

People are now seeing Ben in a new light. He's very knowledgeable about boxing and a very good tactician. If he wasn't training Anthony Joshua I would of suggested Tyson goes back Ben or his uncle Peter. This fight is all about strategy and technique. Sure, Usyk is getting older, and it shows. But so is Tyson, and he hasn’t really treated his temple well now did he? You can argue that Usyk s style is more dependent on age, and I would agree. But Usyks technical skill goes way further than Tyson’s. Tyson is really horrible vs southpaws. Which Usyk happens to be. Tyson gave up dominant foot position vs Wallin every time. He really has no clue. He has fleet feet, but that’s it. Tyson averages 350-400 punches per fight. Usyk 600-700. Tyson can push to that amount, but both his defense and his body deteriorate at that pace. To say “if Fury is at his top, no chance for Usyk” is a joke & shows you have zero clue what you’re on about. I just gave you a few fast facts to point out otherwise. May the best man win.

I hope it's close and we get to see a trilogy out of it. Both styles are the most entertaining to watch in the heavyweight devision at the moment. So intriguing to see how both styles match up. Fury can box anywhere from the inside to the outside, can clinch and use his weight when needs too, fast hands and amazing chin and amazing boxing IQ and mind set, and never ending gas tank for a fight, lets not forget hes a lump too. Uysik has probably the best footwork, unbelievable jab, unbearable work ethic in the ring, finds angles from no where, barely ever takes one to the chin, illusive, mysterious, and unbeatable confidence. This a match made in boxing heaven, Could end up being something we never expected like a all out war brawl, i mean no one thought Hagler Hearns was going to go the wsy it did, Or it could end up being boring, alot of good match ups like these do tend to be clash of styles boring fights, Or it could be an absolute spectacle. One thing I'm praying for is no cut stoppages, and please no ref or judges drama. I'm a big fan of both but more so fury so I'm obviously rooting for the king, but i just hope both show their worth and we get more then what we asked for. 1 thing i can definitely predict is these two men will eventually one day become very good friends.

Usyk has to work extra hard to win by points or to hurt him. That's boxing facts. And no matter how much you hate Fury, he is not slow . His punches are quick and very powerful. Throwing a lot of punches is not being aggressive... Ok... ??! So what is being aggressive ? Not having the one punch ko power doesn't mean he is not aggressive, he constantly has his front foot between your legs, puts constant pressure and throws+lands twice the amount of punches most fighters. He is constantly coming at them, even when he just got caught with a big clean blow to the head he still comes forward and punches. I wonder what you call aggressive. Almost all HW except Chisora are VERY gunshy compared to him.
