For me taking notes things like 7:05 "Pawns don't go backwards" are really helpful. Keep the tips coming Ben!

I'm taking notes on jokes I can steal for when I do a video review of one of my friend's martial arts short film. I think i got a lot of ammo now, like "knockout is good, because you win" and "Wow, Shane shoulda called the cops and said 'hey he's using a gun why does he get to have a gun and I don't?'" As for my chess, it's... getting better when I think straight, but I still can't beat a wimp like Chessmaster Level 1 (NES version). That's pretty bad when I can't beat a computer program built in '89.

Jonathan Donovan Software Toolworks is a California company actually. The mind blowing thing is that they ported something like that to Japanese hardware with barely any RAM on it. Turns out The ChessMaster was first released in 86 on a ton of platforms and Ubisoft still publishes ChessMaster titles today.

Hey how about to make t hings in chess more interesting introduce a new kind of draw, like a forced draw, that is worth less than a stalemate ? (Like if its a draw due to perpetual check)

Do we get to see any games where ben not-so-finegold gets crushed? Because I never understood how anyone above 1800 elo can lose, since they can only play good moves when they are that high rated, yet they still lose.

szidahou what about 2000 elo vs 2600 elo?

I'm 2017 USCF and about 20% of my moves are inaccurate and 5% are just terrible. Even grand-masters make bad moves all the time, these players that Ben is beating are GMs half the time.As he said, Na7 was a bad mistake by his opponent for example.

When you play competitive chess for 5 hours a day during a tournament and when you're running out of time on your clock, your performance tends to be less than perfect.
