That mouse seems awesome, I've actually had a similar idea, but the outside rotary wheel would be a touch surface instead of a moving part. But I don't have time to experiment with that yet.

A space movie. Will it be with acting as good als normal? Will Ben play the damsel in distress? Shall Karen be the hero and Felix the evil mad but genius scientist? Some many questions!

It's a shame you only set up two of the mouse's 3 buttons: a 3-button design, especially with the last button in an atypical position, would have helped even more to increase the space-iness of the overall design. Still, awesome stuff today :D

Ben, I'm interested in knowing more about how you got into electronics. Do you have an electrical engineering background? You seem to have a pretty good handle on C programming. I know you've stated you were a graphics artist in a former life. I have a similar background in programming and graphics. And I've been bit by the electronics bug. Cool stuff.

Can you do a working farnsworth from Warehouse 13? will be an amazing prop
@maker_karen17858 жыл бұрын
I've already tried to convince Ben to make one of these. He said it would basically just be a 3D printed case with a smartphone in it so he won't do it for the show. :(
@Cava198802258 жыл бұрын
it's not that easy as it's sound, if you use a smartphone you have to find a way to connect buttons because you can't use touchscreen, if you use an old mobile you have to connect the webcam

You could just tape a surface pro to a wall, that would be a pretty sci-fi computer. Then put a shelf under it for the pen, since we aren't far enough in the future yet for stylus holders... :D

Would it have been possible to make the mouse ring out a clear material? Then you could have added LEDs to make it glow.

We have some translucent white filament that would have worked. That absolutely could have been done as long as there is enough room leftover inside, which I'm sure there is.

The Sonic fandom on the internet has taken a weird turn. Everyone has their own custom Sonic. The phenomenon is well parodied by Blonic The Hedgehog and made surreal by the existence of Sonichu.
@capthowitzer8 жыл бұрын
It should be noted that Sonichu is sort of a special exception, in that it predates the mass phenomena by a little over half a decade, and sees frequent resurgence.
