I wish I could meet this man. I would love to shake his hand and thank him. Thank him for being able to express things that I myself do not have the ability to. His music breathes into the soul, it relates to a certain darkness and sadness yet aids in setting it free. Its magic, really. Thank you, Ben. For everything.

Thank you for this comment. I felt all this seeing him live a few days ago and I wouldn't have been able to put it in words. His music does speak to the soul, it's incredible. I was just there listening to it and started crying out of nowhere, because there's something so dark in his music, yet so powerful.

There was a writer describing his concerts as more of a religious event than a concert... thought that was bazaar until I saw him live in Nashville recently. Wow, no words, it felt like the building and every individual in it was resonating at the same exact frequency. The emotion transcended beyond anything I had ever witnessed. You feel and sound like a weirdo trying to explain the experience to anyone that hasn’t seen it. Unbelievable… I sometimes listen to it at the house while I’m cooking dinner before my wife gets home and there will be parts I could almost just cry, but not in a sad way. More like in a way were your just appreciating something so beautiful there is no appropriate response.

It's the guitar and slide at 3.22 that sends me spinning. It's sounds like music crying, like loss and a mourning. My heart just implodes every time I hear it. This song sends me into a deep isolation and makes me lonely and I like it. I cannot stop listening to this track. For me this is by far the best song Ben has ever released.

Ben or Ben's people who may be reading this… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - We need a US Tour and not just music festivals. Granted I learned of him at the ACL music festival 2 years ago, but I haven't been able to see him live since. Too much talent to keep all to the UK and EIRE. :)
@wowrogue19210 жыл бұрын
Ey' man, he hasn't done a UK and EIRE tour for ages. We need our fair share of epicness, we need our fair share of Ben :) But, Ben can do what he wants, if he goes and performs 50 concerts in the Vatican, and nothing else for that year. I wouldn't complain as he is doing what he wishes :) Peace.

You know what is the sign of a massively good album? It's better to you with every next listen, like a good wine getting better with time. That's exactly how I feel about this album, I love it more and more. It's a beautifully rounded love story. - That's another thing, I actually listen to the album in whole perhaps even more often than individual songs, it just feels so well put together.

The lyrics are superb. Oh hey, I wasn't listening I was watching serial Blinded by the sunshine strip You, you were in the kitchen Oh your mind was marked and wounded with the wounders whip And that's how summer passed oh your, Great divide and range of green green grass Oh, maybe it was peace at last, who knew Hello love, my invincible friend Hello love, the thistle and the burr Hello love, for you I have so many words But I, I forget where we were Oh hey, I wasn't listening, I was stung by all of us The blind leading up the wall And as per usual, You were skipping and laughing eyes at the bedroom door Don't take it so seriously, no Only time is ours The rest we'll just wait and see Maybe you're right, babe, maybe Oh no, and that's how summer passed Oh your, great divide And range of green green grass Oh, maybe I hold on fast, to you Hello love, my invincible friend Hello love, the thistle and the burr Hello love, for you I have so many words But I, I forget where we were I, I forget where we were I forget where we were I forget where we were, Oh no, and that's how summer passed Oh your, great divide And range of green green grass Oh, maybe it was peace at last, who knew
