Ich als Kitesurfer stell mir seit neuestem sie Frage ob ich mit dem Wingfoilen auch noch anfangen sollte. Für mich spricht aktuell nur der leichtere Zugang an spots ohne oder mit bescheidenen Start-/Landemöglichkeiten. Was sagt ihr bekommt man das wingen als kiter schnell und ohne Schule hin? Es schaut halt so aus als ob wingen überall wo Wasser und bissel wind ist funktioniert? Ich denke gerade darüber nach das bspw. hier vor meiner Haustür auf der Elbe mit doch ordentlich Strömung zu praktizieren, natürlich nicht zum üben. Aber wenn ich das mal könnte? Mit Kite auf der Elbe ist mir mit den Leinen doch zu heikel aber wingfoilen?

nicht überlegen einfach machen :) Für mich funktioniert wingen perfekt zwischen 15 und 20 kn und wenn das Wasser mal wieder nicht spiegelglatt ist (wie fast immer xD), da ich nicht so am freestylen bin, ab 20 kn machts mir mit dem Kite mehr spass und unter 15 hab ich mit dem Kitefoil mehr spaß. Wenn du schon foilen kannst, dann brauchst du eine Session mit vernünftig Wind, 5er Wing bei 17 bis 20 kn und n passendes Foil (ich bin mit einem 2100 mm² angefangen, dass war viel zu groß, würde eher in Richtung 1500 - 1700 gehen, hängt aber natürlich von vielen Faktoren ab ;)

Danke für die Antwort. Folien kann ich noch nicht aber bin da denke ich nicht ganz unbegabt. Aus dem was ich mir bisher abgelesen habe, sollte wohl ein 1500 Foil mit 5m2 Wing bei meinen 75kg funktionieren?

@@maik6843 jo, das sollte meiner Meinung nach gut passen. Beim foilboard gibt es die Theorie das eine 'scharfe' Kante am heck sehr gute Ergebnisse fürs vom Wasser lösen ergibt, könnte ich so auch unterschreiben, die abgerundeten hecks sind für starts mit Wellen Unterstützung besser. Ansonsten so ca. 10 l über köpergewicht, sprich so ca 85 Liter Board passt ganz gut bei dir, die größeren sind einem dann schnell zu groß.
