I’m new to pickleball. I thought you had to serve with the ball below the waist? It sure seems that they are contacting the ball above the waist. Can someone clarify?

Why do they still play with let serve rules in PPA? The USAPA rules no longer have let serve stipulation?

Wait im confused... is there "lets" in pickleball or is it just in singles?

A let happens in pickleball when a serve hits the net and still lands in. If it hits the net and lands in the kitchen, it is a fault. This is true for doubles or singles.

Ben's Forehands were on point, less potent backhand...marginally. Tyson's highlights were forcing Ben out wide on forehand then ripping a winner to the backhand. Ben can hit great backhands, but I don't think they're generally as offensive as his forehands, so thats where to go. Easier said than done.

referring to more baseline shots up above, not dink shots. Bens backhand dink that he holds for sharp cross courts is definitely the best. It's the paddle angle that he holds in his grip that makes it work. I've not seen too many other players adopt that same hold.

Just an observation: "#1 player in the world"? Only a few countries play Pickleball! Wait till it takes off in Asian, Europe, South America............ then you can say Ben is the #1 player in the World! .........Yes Ben is amazing!

He’s still #1 in the world even if it’s not as popular in Asia… I mean tennis isn’t huge in Asia either and we still call the #1 tennis player the best

Ben Johns is hitting the same shots over and over and Tyson doesn't do anything about it. Tyson would be better if his mental game was better. He doesn't like to move and anticipate shots, just stands there.

Haha I can’t handle listening to the commentary. This lady practically worships Ben Johns. Sheesh calm down. When he said “ you may be off the court very quickly.” Haha stuff like this makes me not want to watch this sport. Granted- Ben is incredible- Tyson is a stud! Someone hire someone else to do the commentary.
