These eyes. The way he looked at her. Ben was the first sith, which changed to the good side for his love to a other person. He saved her live. And gave her his life. That is true love. But in the end, Ben was happy for the first time. He died for a good reason. He died at the side of his love. He died when he was happy the first time. Yes, it is sad that he died. In the JJ Abrams and George Lucas cut, which comes out in 2023, Ben Skywalker Solo lives beyond the Palpatine battle and with his beloved Dyad Love 💕 Rey, he builds a Jedi Temple on Tattooine, forges both Luke’s Green and Leia’s Blue Sabres into a double sided sabre for his Rey and he uses his Grandfather Anakin’s sabre . He also bonds with Poe and Finn and gathers other force sensitives together with the remaining Resistance. KK betrayed George Lucas and sage cut all these scenes out of TROS but Lucas is back in the driver’s seat at LucasFilm and he is considering redoing the Sequel Trilogy to include all the scenes that KK cut out, which is a lot...I am no longer grieving for Ben because I know that his story arc created by George Lucas is beautiful and worthy of a Skywalker triumph over evil because Ben is the last living Skywalker. Notice how his grandfather's original aim and reason for joining the Dark Side was to be able to revive Padme once she'd died. Anakin thought he could find the power to bring a loved one back in the Dark Side of the force, and he was willing to do anything to get that power. Kylo Ren wanted to be Darth Vader, because all he saw was the powerful, merciless Darth Vader. But by the time we see him become Ben Solo again, he sees that his grandfather was wrong. He yields to Rey's light, and becomes a part of it. And when Rey dies, he's shocked and shattered inside, but he knew instinctively what he had to do. He knew that the power to bring a loved one back was in the Light Side all along. So he did, despite the risk. Heck, he probably even knew he'd die saving her by then. Nonetheless, he accomplished what Anakin couldn't - he brought balance to the force with Rey, and he saved his only love from death. He was the chosen one. I think that was the true closure from TROS. The Skywalker prophecy was fulfilled.

Val, tremendous job on the editing. I do think you got the correct ending for us and here's why I think so. Many were speculating after TFA that the line in the novelization "I'll come back for you, sweetheart. I promise." was not in the past, but in the future. That makes a LOT of sense. In the TFA novelizations right after she heard this spoken, Rey runs into Kylo Ren. We can assume the voice she heard was his. Furthermore, we get from one of the TFA novelizations: "Someone spoke behind her. Calm, kind and eerily familiar. "Stay here. I'll come back for you." She peered into the darkness between the trees. "Where are you?" "I'll come back, sweetheart. I promise." Rey did not want the owner of the voice to come back. She wanted the speaker to stay. "I'm here! Right here! Where are you?"" This fits perfectly with the TROS ending because rather than Ben dying and coming back, Rey wanted him to stay right there with her. Once more - "Rey did not want the owner of the voice to come back. She wanted the speaker to stay." When Rey says "I'm here! Right here! Where are you?" - this sounds like Ben is in the world between worlds and she can't find him. Perhaps the cave mirror scene in TLJ really is Ben behind that mirror, but Rey can't see him. The ending of TROS was so abrupt and Rey hardly shed a tear when Ben died, that it seems like she sensed he's still "somewhere". He'll be back. If not in the movies, at least in our minds. :) Thank you for this video.

Adam Driver's acting propelled himself into Star Wars lore that most people wish didn't exist. However, despite all of the major flaws, all the setbacks, all the Disney gimmicks, he did what all the actors of the previous trilogies had done before him, bond with his character, and thus the audience. Okay so like 10 days, thousands of views, and hundreds of likes later, I am FINALLY posting a loooooong overdue comment! Sorry, I am a sucky friend who takes forever to comment! Especially when you make a masterpiece like this!! When I first watched it last week, it made me cry and just really opened the floodgates for all the feels! I've never seen a reylo video quite like this one. The way you used all those quotes from the various novelizations was so unique, and it really added to the intensity of the video! I love the fluidity from the very start of the video in the way you fade from Rey to Ben, both looking over their shoulders to their first force bond when their focus is honed on on each other! It just flows so well! Then the way you blend those voice overs at the beginning that show the way they feel the connection to each other and also that they are equals!! Beautiful!! Gah and the way Ben's ambition was not about ruling, but rather, being side by side with HER. /cries/ OMG all the voice overs combined with the quotes you used...it's just too much. I'm going to cry again!! "watch the truth of it wash over her lovely face" You are so not kidding with what you said in the description. He loves her so much. And then the removing his mask for her as a gesture of vulnerability and trust. I think it means so much that the first time we see Ben's face it is with Rey. And then the fact that he was thinking he would never wear it in front of her again is just so meaningful. (I really wish the mask stayed gone after TLJ altogether, but I digress lol) It symbolizes the way Rey sees a part of him that no one else can! ALL THE FEELS. This video wrecks me. "Rey was his light" I HAVE CROSSED OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE!!! lol my heart!!! That quote and the way he runs to her. Just...GOD!!! This video...How are all your videos like this? lol "coming home" and you put in Maz's voice over about belonging. I watch this, and I really do not understand how they can justify killing him off. I mean, I felt that way already, but the way you use their own writing against them, just drives it home! SO MUCH BUILD UP OF THE DYAD/SOUL MATE/BALANCE THING BETWEEN THEM, AND FOR WHAT? JUST TO SNAP THAT CONNECTION IN HALF? Grrr.... And now my heart is breaking thoroughly at the moment when he brings Rey back to life..."Rey has shown him how to give" "He gave her his whole self" IT'S TOO MUCH FOR ME. Aside from being crazy busy and exhausted from work, I feel like I wasn't prepared to comment on this video for a week, because it just HURTS so much. I mean, I freaking LOVE it, but man it cuts deep. You really captured the depth of love between them, particularly Ben's love for Rey. My sweet boy deserved so much better than the ending he got. Gah and I love that you included Rey's thoughts there about how she had just found this amazing connection, being half of a whole basically, only to have it ripped away. Rey deserved better too! She was alone her entire life, but she finally found the belonging and connection she always wanted, and they took it away from her? HOW ON EARTH ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIND THIS ENDING SATISFACTORY?! That's why I'm so happy you gave it an AU (proper) ending here with Ben coming back to her!! Thank you for that!! I just watched this yesterday and couldn't stop thinking about it. So satisfying. Super well edited! excellent job and if only this would of truly been the direction. To me the parts you paralleled like the turning, the light saber dropping - it was like they truly were one. I hated and think it was completely wrong that the DYAD the most powerful force was just thrown back by one hand by Palpatine, ugh, no. Ben knew it would be them against the universe. And for him to show up the desert like that would of just been so right as that is where I think Rey really knew who she was but she couldn't see her strength to turn for her purpose. I know I will be back to watch more and reread the words as this is the thing makes the most sense & as I said satisfies how Rise of skywaler should of ended. TY
