I’m not a professional, but I enjoy cutting hair for family and friends. Ben likes a skin fade haircut with a hard part, so that’s what this DIY video details. 💇🏻♂️

Totally off point, but I love how Ben & Jessa let the children be children, and not hushing them & telling them to be quiet every second.

Exactly. Both right. Loving kindness discipline. Not harsh. Let them be children. But not run amok. Perfect.

I love how you don't edit out the noise that the kids make. Not many people are willing to show what a normal motherhood life is like. They just want to seem all perfect. I absolutely love you and your family and these videos. They are very relatable.

Licensed cosmetologist here as well. I only worked as a hairdresser for 7 years while I paid my way through college... so I was never that talented. That being said, she did an amazing job with how she holds the hair... she truly has talent. Great job Jess. You did better than I could have done. Ben is a lucky man.

Fade long to short and you will blend better so 3 down the head to a 0 . I’m a professional and you can get black fading combs from Sally’s or maybe amazon. It will cut down time blending in the weight band around the head. It’s really not hard 💐

Great job Jessa! Way to be taking care of your family! I’m a licensed cosmetologist, but when I have children I’ll stay at home but will still be able to do my families hair at home. Nothing gives me greater joy than being able to do that! Anyways, I like to watch your videos and everything you say about cutting, parting, guard’s, elevation, your technique is all correct! Keep at it girl!

One day some of my guy friends asked me to cut their hair, had never done it but only trimmed my own. I told them as long as they don't get mad if I screwed it up! 15 years later I cut my husband's hair all the time and I taught myself to do my dads flat top! It saves so much money, I do my daughters, which is pretty simple, I'm a little nervous to do my sons bc he has wavy hair but Jess' video on her boys haircuts I'm hoping will help!
