This fried rice recipe is from our Indonesian friends, and became an instant favorite! The spice level, when made according to this recipe, is not super spicy but is probably close to a medium heat level. You can make it more mild by using only 1 packet of the seasoning mix instead of 2 (or for a very mild variation, omit the spice packet all together and use 2ish tbsp Braggs Liquid Aminos instead). I think you should really give the spice packet a try! You might end up loving it as much as we do!
Fried Rice
8 eggs, scrambled
1 cup (pick one): chicken, shrimp, (or bacon 😁)
2 tbsp olive oil
12 cups cooked brown rice
2 packets Nasi Goreng spice mix (or 2ish tbsp Braggs Liquid Aminos)
1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
Scramble eggs and set aside. Cook meat and set aside. Pour olive oil in wok, and over medium heat, combine cooked rice and nasi goreng, stirring until paste is evenly dispersed and incorporated. Pour frozen veggies over rice and stir in for 5 min. Add eggs and meat back in and give a final stir! Enjoy!

treena mcdoodle No, she really doesn’t because they’re in the cult known as the Quiverful movement. Although they’re in a worldly country, they’re extremely sheltered and it’s very sad. I just hope the kids of Michelle and Jim’s cult genes have diluted through them & that they’ll live a happier life.

Dearest Jessa. My family and I tried your fried rice and it was deeeelicious. Just one thing. the packet of NASI GORENG does have MSG. In addition it also has fermented shrimp in tiny amounts. Many people are allergic to shell fish. God bless you for putting Christ first in your lives. You are wonderful role model.

I love fried rice. It’s literally fool proof and you can throw almost anything in there, especially left over meat and veg. I love seeing how other people make their fried rice! 😍 if you have kimchi, throw some of that in there with the kimchi juice and a spoon of sugar! 😋

Ooo... I need to try those packets. My entirr family makes a breakfast friend rice with bacon, scrambled eggs, garlic (powder or minced), a little salt, soy sauce, and parsley flakes. I like to make an egg over easy and lay it on top 👌 My grandfather was stationed in Hawaii sometime during or after WWII, and I believe the recipe came from his time spent there. We eat it for any meal. Delicious, and no spice for Henry. Lol he's so cute!

I hope Jesse loves and treats Henry as good as the other two. I had two boys and a girl. My sons were two and a half years apart. My second son was a difficult child to raise but now he is amazing. He is my best friend. Don’t worry Jessa, Henry will grow out of his grumpiness . My husband and I had the hardest time finding a babysitter for my youngest son.. Even my mom and dad hated watching him. He cried all the time as a kid. One of my friends told me her second child was the same way and when she became an adult she was wonderful. My friend was right.
