Emotional intelligence allows you to analyze your feelings to make better decisions in your life, empathize with others, build strong relationships, acknowledge your insecurities and weaknesses, etc. I hate how everyone is now complaining that men are expected to be in touch with their emotions, because frankly, I think everyone should. If you have no control over your emotions or you deaden them, then I think you’re set up for misery. Look at the guys from WW1 and WW2 especially. They were seen as the pinnacle of manhood and many were stoic and unemotional, because most of them had untreated PTSD. Or it had the complete opposite affect.
