Ahh....I LOVE Benalmadena and Malaga! Incredible sunrise location and a dream come true for all walkers. Paradise that is affordable and truly special. We were going to buy a vacation apartment there only we have decided to focus on Albufeira instead. Only one day...we will be buying near the marina. Thanks for sharing.

@@SeekingParadiseBugs We presently have two properties in Obidos...we had to purchase asap because of our pets. which is also the same reason we want to purchase a winter vacation property (because of our pets)...as for Albufeira...its a very easy 3 hour drive to get to and it's such a fantastic fun place to explore. Plus for tax reasons, it's much easier to sell and buy in Portugal for us. You will LOVE LOVE LOVE Albufeira...IF you like Vegas or the party parts of Thailand (on a much smaller scale of course). Stay in Old Town if you can. OH, and if you can....go to Porto for June 23 and experience the lanterns and hammers and the biggest street party you've ever seen. Portugal certainly loves their celebrations! Happy Travels.

From Vietnam you guys can go exploring all over the South, North, and South East Asia countries around, rich and long history countries. @@SeekingParadiseBugs I mean summer time in tropical country is always uncomfortable, not just Vietnam, same like Thais .... Hope you are OK with that. Check out the beach cities like Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Quoc, the weather in the central and south of Vietnam maybe better than the North. Wish you guys all the best. Ps: the food in tropical country definitely is on another level, and it's really cheap there.

Great video! Can you tell me something about the dog situation on the beaches there? And how is just walking on the streets there with dogs?

Thanks!! Dogs typically aren't allowed on the beaches during bathing season in the summer. The entire Costa del Sol is very dog friendly but we found fewer places that allowed dogs indoors in Benalmadena than in Fuengirola and Estepona. Plenty of people walk their dogs everywhere and are very friendly. Most are on leash, something that can be an issue in Lisbon where we are living now.

@SeekingParadiseBugs thank you. As long as I can walk my dog its fine! I saw Paloma Parc also dog friendly. That is basically enough. If he can get his beach time during winter somewhere along the coast it would be a treat for both of us. 😃

@@judithshappy Our doggies loved Paloma Park and there were lots of people walking their dogs there. Also, lots of people walk their dogs along the promenade and the hiking trails up in the hills around Benalmadena Pueblo. You'll have no problem walking everywhere with your dog.

Do you prefer this town or Fuengirola to live, not to visit? I think there are more services (shopping, zoo, dog friendly beaches) in Fuengirola.

We feel that Fuengirola is a little more vibrant and we would be happy to live there but we preferred the quieter areas up in the hills of Benalmadena with amazing views of the coast line. Everything is so close so we could have the best of both worlds.
