Yeah but relying on technology isn’t any good either. What if it goes down in the middle of the game and they have to postpone the game to another day? Even worse, if your team had the momentum in a close game and then come back later to blow it because all moment was lost at that point. Imagine that happening in a playoff series?! 😮 or what if it started missing calls because of malfunction with sensors?! Then everyone would really be saying games were rigged. It would do more harm than good in my opinion. Can’t ever rely on technology if we still can’t get cell phone service right in 2024
@silverechohawk5315

It all comes down to parameters of the strike zone. These parameters apply to all batters and are adjusted according to the individual dimensions of the batters themselves. It’s about programming the technology.

@jimgray3346 it seems you don't watch baseball because you harshly criticized homestead announcers for using "we" and claiming it was unprofessional, even though they all use "we". Yes, that is a memorable moment. The time you seem to be referring to when he threw his helmet and charged the mound. Not sure who was pitching, he really chucked the Hemet at the pitcher up close, and missed him by about 4 or 5 feet. It was funny because he was so close and missed him by that much. Lol

Baseball has too many grey areas. The strike zone for example is arbitrary, changes high and low boundaries with every batter, and is never enforced 100% accurately. Then there's double plays. The actual rule on a force out at a base is you must touch the base having possession of the ball before the runner...... however in like 90% of the double plays I've seen, second base is never actually touched. They still get the call every time as long as their feet are close. Sometimes they'll drag a foot for extra effect, but they get that call every time. Now you can't even argue a call without being tossed from the game. The whole sport has become ridiculous.
