Benchmade 275 Adamas Review - bladereviews.co...
I recommend buying the Adamas at knifecenter: bladereviews.co...
The 275 Adamas is an absolute tank of a knife. This bold design from Shane Siebert has gone where few Benchmades have gone before. If you want more written thoughts on the 275, check out my full written review for a detailed writeup on the Adamas. I've included plenty of high res photos and talk about the knife in great detail.
As always, thank you for watching. If you are on Facebook consider "liking" As always, thanks so much for watching. If you enjoyed this video I highly recommend subscribing to BladeReviews.com so you never miss a review: bladereviews.co...

I finally got around to adding this to my collection as well as my EDC which consists of 2 knives. It's a large knife but not cumbersome in any way. There are other larger folders out there so this is a good "Manly-Sized" knife. I really like it & I haven't had clip issues on a BM in a few years now

@WeaversofEternity I totally agree man, this is waaaay to much knife for EDC. But for a hard use tool I think it's quite appropriate! Thanks so much for dropping by.

Thank you John, and I am glad to hear you enjoy yours! Yes apparently this was an issue they had with the earliest knives. Thankfully they have since fixed up the clip, Thanks again for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.

love the blade i got black because i heard they were painting them.idk? i was gonna go auto but the blade is slimmer on auto version, and manual version i think i can put it away quicker than having to use ur hand in the automatic version.and ive beat the shit out of the blade(within reason) a bit of prying, lots of tip use.i was worried the d2 would be brittle but not yet at least best hard use knife i have ak47 a good one too.

@Optionsaregood Thanks man! Yes, this is a heavy knife, and for that reason especially I think extra care needs to be taken with the clip. It's still well made, an interesting offering for sure. Thanks so much for stopping by and tuning in.

@Pyro7502 Yeah the pouch won't get any use from me at all. I don't mind it as an extra way to carry the knife but I agree - it's no substitute for a rockin pocket clip. thanks for stoppin by!

I am glad to see that you recognize the value of a robust knife. This knife is too heavy for most people that forget that you cannot abuse a SOG Flash knife like you can abuse this one.

@darkchild57 I'm glad your clip is better, I should have revisited your review (and checked out some others) before shooting the video. I tried bending my clip out but this is hardened steel - it wasn't going anywhere! I also tried putting an arrow clip on but it wouldn't fit. And I agree, I like the tan version more, it's really cool. Thanks for watching man!

any benchmade in the black class that has the three numbers of the knife means it is a manual and if they add a 0 for example 275=manual 2750=automatic. fyi

@BladeReviewscom i actually called BM when it first came out to check that the weight was correct - i thought they got the fixed blade and folder weights mixed up on the spec sheets. i agree, i am attracted to the knife - my initial instinct was to buy until i saw the weight. there is no way i could edc that knife unless it was closer to 6 oz.

@PowerMadHeadBanger You are absolutely right man. With this knife it's important to keep the purpose of it in mind. Is it designed to replace my flash 1 or mini griptilian? No. But it's extremely strong and designed for purpose built applications.

@obamtdtnsfn D2 can be pretty tough but I definitely see your point. I mentioned that this would be tough to sharpen in the field, and it made me think a little more about it. At 60-62 HRC this is not soft stuff. So I tend to agree with you and will write about it a little more in the written review. Thanks for stopping by and leaving the insightful comment!

@goyofoyo It is wider to accommodate the wider handle. According to Benchmade the lock can take 800 lbs of force. It feels extremely strong.

I had the option of ordering the limited edition, but I really like the tan version more. The clip on my 275 touches the G10. You could always detach it and bend it back in. But actually I wish they just put the arrow head clip from the Griptilian on it. Great review my friend!

@sigsoup Thank you so much for the update Sig! I will reflect that in my written review (unfortunately there isn't much I can change with the video - maybe I'll annotate it). Well I bought it ... I had a feeling it was going to be a benchmade week. The onslaught and the adamas . I saw a black one production # 46 I was going to buy but then decided on on the tab one.like you said I have to many in black and I don't wanna worry about it it's going to get used hard not caressed ( well still caressed, not babied ).... Well a little babied. But if I have to do something horrible to it I'm not going to worry about it....as much. Thanks for the vid!!

Excellent and fair, review Dan. For a knife that heavy it really needs a substantial pocket clip, or you could loose it.

Okay so I guess benchmade must have heard the complaints about the pocket clip. I messed around with a block version #46 of 1000 and it suffered from a weak pocket clip. The one I purchased tan # 41,256 has an incredibly strong clip... But not as sharp as #46. Overall I have been impressed with this knife, but don't waste your time trying to sharpen it with a benchmade survival tool kit the steel is way to sturdy. Just giving ya an update. Ps. Another tan handle one I handles also had a sturdie

The Adamas is much bigger than the 0350. I haven't handled a 0200 but the specs look similar. Personally, I like a smaller knife like the 0350 for EDC.

@903lew Lew as always, you are a voice of reason and practicality! Yeah, this one is heavy. Even the diesel truck driving, miller lite swilling, red blooded American in me can admit that. Not the most practical knife, but hey, it is what it is. :)

I did not know about this knife. But it is cool. But I don't like the choice of D2 steel for a work horse. It's to brittle of a steel. Great for edc but not for this kind of blade. Thank you for the great vid Dan.

It's a massive heavy knife. I'd say it's quite cumbersome, but it depends on what you like to EDC I guess. If you are used to carrying a "normal" knife (maybe in the 3-5 ounce range) I'd say the Adamas will be a big difference.

I carried it all weekend, I can honestly say I love it!! It gives that feeling it can take abuse and will only look better the more you use it. @FatGuyWithAKatana Yeah the tan version is pretty! Not sure what I was doing going with the blacked out version. According to some other people their clips were a little better, I still find that it's way too flimsy. Still, it's a cool knife if you need a folding axe. ;)

I just picked this up in First Edition 275bksn (partially serrated, tan handles, 993/1000). I usually don't like partially serrated blades, but they had this in stock. Once I put it in my hand, I was sold. It's replacing my Benchmade 707 limited edition(043/500) in d2. I would have liked to get it in Assist.. but after I held it, I had to have it. My clip touches the handle, and is VERY stiff. It cut my belt trying to slide it. Maybe they fixed the issue? I'd give them a call, they'll fix it!
