Original 940 is a perfect balance with the aluminum handle. And you do get a lot of blade in a small package. 940 and Delica 4 in K390 are my 2 favorite knives ever.

I just cannot bring myself to like Spiderco's designs. Benchmade made be overpriced, but I love their designs and that they're made in the US. I also love everything about the 940.

Yeah Benchmade has gone a bit nutty with their prices lately! I get their emails and always see cool new models but then I click on them to see some super high pricing! Great knifes though.

Spydercos look like clown shoes, it takes a different type of person to think that's an acceptable design to hold lol. Yes they are functional but so GD stupid looking. Spyderco is overpriced, bechmade is overpriced. At least BM still has the BEST designs and all USA made, so im happy to use them. Cant afford a lot of them, but i dont need a LOT of knives. Cant afford to have crap knives either. So a couple BM fixed blades, a couple BM folders, and good to go yes. They will not wear out or break anytime soon, in my experience using BM for a decade now

The lock on the Para 3 is called a compression lock

Yeah! I could not recall it during my video. Thanks!

Great knives! Have the OG 940, and it is awesome. Use it for everything. I am left-handed, and I find the Compression locks on Spydercos a little more complicated to manipulate. I gave my Para 3 to a friend, and he loves it! Both are worth owning and using. The only Spyderco I own at the moment is the Kapara, which is a great knife-more like the 940 in pocket, and a better blade to handle ratio than the Para 3.

Nice! I could see the Para being tougher to use left handed. Thanks for watching!

I’m a admitted SpyderHoe,have many of there knives even multiple of certain models. Really like the Para3 and Pm2 along with the native line of knives. Have only one Benchmade bugout and I’m not impressed. Can’t get some side too side play out. Para3 is a great little knife👍🏻

Nice! I kind of have my eyes on a Manix 2. As for your Benchmade, I’d highly recommend sending it in to them and seeing if they can fix it up for you. People online knock their service, but they sent my 2 back looking and feeling great.

I have 3 para 2’s a para 3 and 2 bugouts and a couple 940’s. The bugout isn’t bad but it does feel a little cheap. But if what you want is lightweight very pocket friendly it’s hard to beat. I prefer the 940 over the bugout though. It doesn’t feel as cheap but still pocket friendly. To be as king of a blade as it is I don’t even notice it in my pocket. I still love my spyderco’s but they are not as pocket friendly mainly because of the height of the blades .

@@whatfreedom7 I’ve been carrying a military 2 and live it. And a native 5 lw serrated maganacut have been my go to. The native chief is a hell of a knife as well as the police 4 lw k390. Pocket swords that don’t take up space and are light 👍🏻

I have both in my collection, but find myself carrying the original aluminum green scaled 940 more due to being more narrow in pocket, ease of opening/closing without shifting my grip and blade being slightly longer as well as thinner than that of the para 3. You can carry and forget about the 940. While the para 3 screams I'm here in your pocket then being so thick spined it's like cutting with a wedge through thicker stuff like cardboard. So yeah Benchmade 940 for the win. I would love to get my hands on the spyderco smock to see how that compares to the benchmade 940.

I agree with you with the 940 being far slimmer, and easier to carry in a variety of pants and situations.

Easy to close Spyderco’s with the left hand. Use the compression lock like a back lock and let the choil fall on your finger then close the rest of the way. Easy to use one handed with ether hand.

I can't for the life of me keep any Spydies. Great steels and functional blade-shapes, but aesthetically they are turds and I think their hardware is made from tin. Nobody makes worse hardware.
@jordanstechtalk9772 Жыл бұрын
Interesting to hear. I like the hardware on my Para 3. Now the Tenacious is worlds apart and definitely felt cheap. (Which it was) Thanks for watching!

And they’re tips break by damn near just looking at them. That’s why I don’t use them anymore. My 940 takes heavy prying like nothing. Such a beast of a knife man. Sexiest blade shape ever imo. With that reinforced tip it’s the perfect blade for how I use my knives.
