I've carried an identical Infidel since first introduced. Mine has some worn handle edges but has performed perfectly for the last 13 years or so. The action has never malfunctioned and the blade holds an edge even with tough use. For a serious discrete quick to action personal protection knife, there is no equal.

My dad bought me one after I received orders to Iraq back in 2006 and I managed to loose it on my way back home. I have wanted one ever since. He has since passed and I never could bare to tell him I lost it. The more time that goes by the more I want one. I may have to finally buy one for myself. Outstanding video, sir!

Fantastic video! Loved the story! I just watched again because I just ordered the govx exclusive 3300... s30v dlc black dagger with all fully blacked out hardware. I own a lot of knives and some auto's so I never went after the infidel for my collection, but it touched me they made a model for govx a site for active duty/ veterans/ law enforcement and blacking everything out completely makes it so pretty 😊

I love this knife. Been carrying mine every day all day since 2007. Good thing with these is that they look better the more beat up they are, though I don't know how the hell yours got so bad lol. Taken mine apart 6 times now and it still fires like the day I got it, though the blade does have 7 or 8 bits of spotting on it.

I would like to see our hear how you sharpened that blade... I'm relatively new with my edge pro. A buddy asked me if I could put a edge on a knife of his, excited to play with something different I said yes and he hands me a Infidel. I took it home and was too paranoid to do anything with it not wanting to scratch the blade of a $400 knife. I couldn't get the blade to sit on the table consistently. I've been meaning to ask ya how to do this.

I know everyone has an opinion and I am taking my liberty to say "it's WEAK" and I feel that most "men" feel the same way I do. Quick story I'll share with you. He took it off and said " I just bought this a couple weeks ago....it came like this." He went on to show me how it was brand new and then he made it even more shredded with sandpaper and grease "strategically placed." When he left I told my wife that this fella was ALWAYS a "talker" - never a doer. ALWAYS had everything handed to him but never Truly Worked I don't feel a day in his life. He is what I call a "POSER." Fake denim with the tears and holes and patches. Fake tee shirts that look old and worn. He likes "the look" but doesn't want to "earn that look the right way." Bottom line : He is a Phoney in real life.....plain and simple. Don't be a phoney. Earn that look if you like it....for real. Great review Rob; in that price range, I'm trying to decide between the BM Infidel 10th Anniv., BM Pagan and the MT Combat Troodon. Which one do you recommend? I really like the choice of names on the Infidel and Pagan; represents how you'd expect these blades in the hands of the villain in movies. However, Muslims are not trained to convert or kill the people they find, lol. I don't know who told you that info, but that's ISIS, Al Qaeda and other US supported terrorist organisations, not Islam.

Rob, did you do the sharpening on your Edge Pro? I've got an Infidel that I've had for years but have never sharpened it because my freehand sucks. I was able to do it on my EP, but had to nearly max out the angle adjustment and had to use the bevel opposite of the edge I was working on just to get it to match the factory edge. It works, but it isn't ideal and not very consistent. Got any tips?
@TheApostleP9 жыл бұрын
+SuperSecretSquirell I did use the Edgepro, but it's not easy. The Infidel likes about 22 DPS, and you have to locate on the primary bevels, so your angle correction takes you almost to the top of your post. Not fun!

Justin Horn You might have a good point, Justin, but most guys will dismiss it due to your grammar and spelling. It doesn’t exactly present you as intelligent or authoritative. That said, the knife in this video is about 15 years old, and has clearly been to hell and back. The fact that it’s still around and working flawlessly kinda blows up your point about the mechanism I think. Also, steel is cheap, even the best modern super steels. It might make a $20-30 difference in the real cost of a knife, and that’s being generous. Then there’s the question of durability and utility. We’re looking at a double edged dagger blade. It’s made to pierce and twist. One could make the case that D2 is a better choice for that application than M390, CTS-204P or Elmax. Given those facts, I’m having a hard time understanding how the Infidel isn’t worth 80% or so of the cost of a Combat Troodon.
