Hey Ben, I'm having trouble getting Street View to work with my snapseed color corrected images. If I upload the original file it works, but just a slight change in contrast on the photo and Street View rejects it... Please help. It might make a good short video since I can't find anything that helps explain the problem, same with google orientation of the thumbnails and if there's a way to fix the thumbnail it displays on the listings carousel. Anyway, thank you for your video's!!! They helped motivate me to start my video business and incorporate 360! I already have 50k image views of small businesses in just 2 months, I'm stoked! I want to get better quality photos on street view but the darn problem is plaguing me... I started with a Insta360 ONE R and loved it so much I just got Z1 based on your video recommendation! Another fact about street view that I think you didn't mention is that even if two or more shots taken by different photographers are located at the same spot they'll still save it in the system and each photo can be viewed with certain apps, for example the Oculus Quest game Wander will for example show that two shots are available at location x, one from 2015, one from 2021, and you can select and view each one. I love this feature for popular landmarks, i've seen some locations with over twenty shots with some photos from like the early 2000's all the way up to 2021 and it's fun comparing the changes over the years in VR.

Hey, at 8:18 is it possible to have chosen the last option, or the in-app "Take photo sphere" selection, instead of the "import 360 photos" and then have your phone take 5 identical positioned pictures, just like you had done so of the bridge using your 360 camera, but this time just using the in-built sphere technique, and have 'google street' create a "path" viewing of the bridge as well?

Google can only do so much evil. Many "deleted" photos are actually still there in their server, but can only be accessed on Google Earth. One good example is the now demolished building once known as Anata no Warehouse. On Google maps there are quite a few blue dots. As of today only one dot is viewable. On Google Earth you can see all dots. Let's hope Google doesn't turn full evil.

Useful video. Sadly, after the Street View app was scrapped by Google in March 2023, it is now *impossible* to upload individual 360 photos to Google Maps, to appear as a 'blue dot' in a location not linked to a 'place'. I understand that there will be no more new 'blue dots'. Only full 360 videos can be uploaded in the new Street View Studio - so if you want to provide a view of a specific location (eg. a mountain top or whatever) you will have to shoot a short videoclip! It's all very annoying.

I'm currently using Theta X which has built in GPS. Theta X also has video options for 2 frames per second, and 10 frames per second. 2 fps is great for walking, 10 fps is great for bicycles and e-bike (tested by me). How to use new GSV app? There is no option to connect pics or set orientation as it was on old version :)

Can you post about the video mode?

Will the uploaded video replace what shows in Google Street View, i.e. 5 year old images and building facades which are outdated?
@BenClaremont3 жыл бұрын
Only if you report them as old/outdated etc

@@BenClaremont ok thanks, so the videos we create, they will sit in Street View & 360, can these replace Street View in case of being old, say old façade of a building?

You have amazing content and I appreciate it. Just a bit of feedback that I do NOT intend as being overly critical. I don't think I'm the only person who finds the background music distracting. It's just audible enough to compete for attention. Like a roommate who plays music in their room just loud enough to hear as you're trying to concentrate on something else.

I like the background music, but to each his own.

Hi Ben, thanks for this video. The nadir logo allowed in GSV is new to me. Is there an easy way to level Theta Z1 horizon you mention at 2:40? Such as I used to while switching on Mi Sphere?

Hello, is it possible to download a photo from oneX app to iPhone, remove some unwanted objet from the photo and reload it to oneX app for edit, like you do on theta+ app?
@streetvieweysteinn4 жыл бұрын
You can remove unwanted object with TouchRetouch. But why would you want to import it back into OneX app?
@arleao24 жыл бұрын
Street View Eysteinn to use the editing process on the oneX app, like the spin.
@streetvieweysteinn4 жыл бұрын
@@arleao2 Looks like you can't do that. But you can import them into the desktop app.
@arleao24 жыл бұрын
Street View Eysteinn actually I'm doing the edit, like spin, after using the retouch app, with the theta+ app, but I'd like to do it with the native camera app.
