Bend locals share concerns over lack of enforcement on illegal fireworks

More than 70 complaints regarding illegal fireworks were reported to Bend Police on Thursday. Despite those numbers, not a single citation was issued.

It's very unfortunate that people do this, because they do not consider the risks involved in using personal fireworks, and, what is the point of a law if it's not enforced?

Until you have a statewide ban on personal fireworks you’re going to see this belted from one township to another when neighboring cities have legal fireworks and others don’t.

The law is the law enforce all laws not just the ones that are convenient to you! They put planes in the air to catch poachers why not illegal fireworks. Isn't fire Danger in Bend a Priority ask the people who have lost everything even their lives.
