Redmond Smokejumpers: Initial Attack Force - Part 1: Poised to Launch

The Redmond Smokejumper Base at the Redmond Air Center in Central Oregon launches fast-attack aerial wildland firefighters to remote areas in Oregon and Washington to put out small wildfires before they can become raging infernos.
A KATU crew visited the base in April 2023 to meet these elite firefighters.
