Hey Oakie, yes Sir the channel has grown really nicely and here's to keeping Momma Oakie happy with more firewood production 👍👍

We are blessed for sure. We are pretty well sold out. I have about 1/2 cord available but our stock is a little low for winter and I want to do some more bundle wood as well. Next seasons wood is piling up in a hurry. We have been cutting like crazy...... for us at least.

We have kind of adopted that saying and we sure appreciate you! Thank you very much for stopping by and watching. We have lots more wood now and I’m thinking I’m gonna have an issue if I’m going to use the IBC totes. I’m gonna flat run out.

Great video!! Swing the backhoe boom to the up hill side (tire lift side)
@oakiewoodsman7 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate that suggestion. I may do that sometime in the future. My main concern is, however, bending the loader arms with it being side loaded like that. So it may be a blessing in a way that the rear tire came up a little bit as a reminder of hey stop this😉

I bought a load of green red oak logs that weighed 8060, split and processed into 4.25 (330) gallon totes, minus very little waste, that comes out to 1896# per tote, looks like you have the 275 gallon totes so it would be less for them! great video!

I have a CK3510 and clear land primarily for deer food plots. I dig and ram stumps and lift massive rocks using the corner of the bucket and sometimes get the rear wheel in the air a couple feet. I overuse that tractor big time and the loader is not damaged at all. As I said, this is first hand exposer the last 4 years. Also, remove the backhoe and put a ballast box on the rear.
@oakiewoodsman7 сағат бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. That is good to hear that yours has held up to so much abuse. As far as removing the backhoe, I am unlikely to do that because without the backhoe, I wouldn’t even have the tractor. When I can buy a mini excavator, I will likely sell the backhoe and keep the tractor and will need the ballast at that point. The ultimate goal will be to get some sort of tracked machine with stand on or sit in.

Might not hurt to rig a log chain rack on your tractor... I can show you what i did with mine, but something tells me you can figure it out with the parts list. Nothing special, pretty cheap. I had a scrap piece of 4 inch PVC that i cut off level with the top of my dash from the floor board, and used 3 5-6" hose clamps to clamp it to the little kickboard by my step on the left side of the operators station. Looks like it might be handy to have a couple chains on your tractor just in case.

Did you fill your tires, I have the same setup. Full IBC tote doesn't lift the back, all ash though. Oak is heavier for sure. Filled tires have made my hilly property accessible. Some of the sketchy off camber stuff hasn't been an issue so far.

Your slopes to make it runn moving things around
@oakiewoodsman16 сағат бұрын
for sure man. I see lots of pictures and post in the KIOTI FB groups about tweaked loaders. Super not excited about that here. Do you think this is the optimal environment to do such a thing, or do you think they are lifting unbalanced loads instead?
@TheRustyGarageandHomestead15 сағат бұрын
@@oakiewoodsman I wouldn't say its optimal. There is definitely an increased risk of load imbalance with your slopes. I think a couple of the areas closer to the road that you have shown me would make for better areas to move firewood around. You slopes will be fine also just be mindful of the weight and take your time moving things around.

Pretty sure a tote is about one rick or 1/3 cord when level.
@amandadavis972612 сағат бұрын
Depends on the tote size. 275 gal totes are 1/4 cord when stacked level to the top. 330 gal totes are 1/3 cord or a rick. He has the 275s.
