Bending Flat Bar into Rings using a Hammer and Rail Track - 50mm x 6mm (2" x 1/4" )Flat bar.
I am making these flat bar rings as I needed the rings to put on some steel wheel hubs I have made, this will give the project the exact look I wanted, although I do not make the wheels in the video, there is a photo of the finished wheel, at the end of the video.
I just love the rustic look of hammered metal, it goes very well with the other thing I like, Rebar.
The Flat Bar is 50mm x 6mm (2" x 1/4" )

As a full time 60 year old plumber and a part time body man the way you move metal around is awesome. My hat is off to you. The way you use the simplest tools in your outdoors workshop is inspiring. If id that in Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA my shop would be gone in a heartbeat. Please keep up the inspirational work. Thank you.

Gavin you would be a great instructor for an introduction to metal work for youths. Once they see you move metal around they would become very inspired to explore the welding trade. I have always been the youngest welder in a shop and I am 49, that is how scarce young welders are here in Ontario Canada. Great project you got going on there and as always welders make the coolest 💩🖖.

Thank you very much, Gregory, I agree all it takes is a bit of inspiration for some of them and a place for them to have a "Play". When I grew up many of us could weld and had project cars/trailers or other projects happening. That is not the case now for the young ones. I think you are on the thought train to make a good change. I have two little ones I hope to help them grow up "Handy" and have the skills to attempt anything and learn. I appreciate your comment.
