This guy reminds me a lot of my dad, he was always making some cool project like homemade fireplace tools complete with with fire tongs, poker, shovel and stand. I still have a huge completely functional bear trap made with teeth and double sprung. He even made his own hot rivets he forged and hammered in. Of course he did that forging on his homemade anvil. I sure miss him. ❤️

Great wheels Gavin! I have made some steel wheels for my hit and miss engine carts. Instead of bending band iron I had a steel shop cut 3 inch wide pieces of 8 inch diameter steel pipe. The five spokes is great, not often you see 5 spokes, nice touch! I also like your hub design, plenty of "bearing" surface but looks proper on the axle end. The castle nut is another nice touch that makes it look the part! Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Hi Gavin, great work yet again. Showed this video to my dad 85 He was a wheelright in his day. Say,s your a real craftsman. He said making round from straight is an art.
