Thanx. Really NRX/Megabass for top water. Come on guys that money tree growing in my back yard is almost out of leaves.

NRX+ MBR843? Who made the decision to include that rod in this topic? Sure, it could work, just like a driver could be used to putt a golf ball on the green. My only constructive suggestion to the channel would be to maybe have a paused section showing the rod flex under load. Bouncing it on screen doesn’t do anything for me, but, as a rod builder, seeing the complete flex under load reveals a lot of helpful information. Side by side comparisons on the same grid would also reveal helpful information. Ideally, the rod placed parallel to the horizontal lines and the flex shown with a set weight pulling the tip down is a better way to compare different rods. People could load their own rods at home with the exact same weights and be able to compare their current ones to your suggestions. When you guys bounce that rod on screen, you can feel the differences, but we can’t, here at home.

Get a Megabass Madbull. You don’t need an NRX for topwater…just saying

Pretty sure th EG rod is specially made for the big SB, it was popular waaay before the smaller ones got popular.

I bought the Evergreen 6’8 and I absolutely hate it. There ratings seem to be way off on this line of rods. Any suggestions what I can use this rod for? I did some cranking with it and it was ok.

I have that rod and I haven’t used it much at all. I think I got it on sale. 75 size whopper ploppers and even small buzz baits and spinner baits would be ok on it. Maybe lighter swim jigs/dark sleepers. It’s kinda of a loaner rod for me or if I’m kayaking some more sketchy stretches, I wouldn’t cry if something happened to it.

Save your money guys. You don’t need an expensive rod to fish top water. Many manufacturers make light well balanced top water rods with great actions for 100 bucks
