Even if she isn't your favorite Bollywood actress, Indians should support her. I've grown up abroad and never lived in India. It's so nice to see a woman who looks somewhat like me (in terms of dark hair/eyes, and olive/tan skin) on magazine covers and on tv. I usually grew up seeing either super pale skin women, orange skin (women trying to look tan lol) or black women in the western media. I used to get excited when I saw Penelope Cruz because she had similar coloring. So nice to be able to see an Indian woman!

What I truly admire about her apart from being a versatile actor is the way she has handled her career, how she has paved her way and maintained a Bollywood career, Hollywood career, singer and all the other endorsements, event, etc. Its an incredibly slippery slope juggling so much work and being able to do the right work. She did not compromise on a stereotypical role in Hollywood, she did not stop doing Bollywood movies. At the same time she knows what will help her move forward and what won't. Even if Quantico doesn't achieve great success, it put her right into mainstream Hollywood, something no other Indian actor has achieved. For me she surpassed SRK in being brilliant at handling a diverse career and basically building a structure of an icon.

She is ofcourse acted in American and if doing alright compared to Deepika as of now. But you better be honest. She was never as big star as Kareena, Katrina or Deepika popularity wise. Whole India knows that. She was never the centre of attraction which every actress is at one stage of her career where entire limelight is on her. The other three had that. Crowd was never crazy about her like they were for other three. And don't brag about roles and National award or whatever. Even Tabu has many national awards and good roles compared to Kareena or Deeepika. But does that make her more popular and bigger star than Kareena or Katrina? No way! Acting wise Kareena can beat Priyanka anyday and popularity wise Katrina and Deepika are miles ahead. And please Fashion was just semi hit and Mary Kom as well. Mary Kom opened well just due to hype surrounding it. Heck Kareena has done much more diverse roles than Priyanka. Truth is she is doing good in Hollywood now but that never makes her a bigger star than Kareena, Katrina or Deepika here in Bollywood. In Bollywood these three are much more in demand than Priyanka.

FACT CHECKING PRIYANKA CHOPRA- Knowing a thing or two about American television and how it works, I would like to correct a few FACTS. Priyanka states that she did not go looking for the show but they found her and "wrote a show around her". This is not exactly true. Scripts for many television and movie ideas are circulated in Hollywood to various production houses. They are analyzed and thought out by the directors and producers and in house writers to see if there is potential to make a full seasoned show. After that they are either accepted or rejected and passed on to the new production house. Priyanka states that she was found and a show was written FOR HER. This is not entirely true. A script was being circulated and other individuals such as Diana Penty and Freida Pinto were also considered along with some American actresses. Priyanka went in and auditioned just like the rest of them. NO ONE and you can bet on this one....NO ONE who is a newcomer in LA will have a show WRITTEN AROUND THEM. Priyanka was smart enough to make her presence known in LA and did many cameos and auditioned like the rest of them. Also there is no such thing as being "on the poster" in Hollywood especially in television shows. Every character is given equal importance in the running of the show. Quantico has been renewed for another season that means that the Pilot was successful and it escaped the Chopping block during March Madness when shows with little or not potential are scraped. As long as it keeps up its Nelson ratings it will do well. But it will be another candidate on the chopping block every first Quarter until April end. Also the way Priyanka is talking is her natural way to walk, she does speech coaching for her character on the show. I think its a little misleading to let the audience believe all this if they are predominantly of the Indian television market and may not be familiar with how American television works. I still admire Priyanka and I think she is a great actress. But these two things need to clarified.

Are u an insider? if u are provide us with credible evidence not just your opinion or how you think things work . you are desperately trying to make people think she lied about how she landed Quantico. her story has been consistent with the creator of the show Joshua safran. unless u can provide concrete evidence from ABC themselves, please quit trying.

She has said in many interviews that there were few scripts given to her by ABC and she auditioned for a few including Quantico, she even mentioned a show she rejected which has now been cut by ABC (but she never took names). When she says the show was 'written around her', you have to watch her other interviews to understand the context. Once she was chosen for Quantico, there were suggestions to change the name of the character but Priyanka insisted it should remain "Alex". There were changes made to the script, for instance her going to India/Pakistan during the high school/college years or her mom being Indian, her Om bracelet; these were some of the changes they had to make in the script for Priyanka. She is not going to lie in a Bollywood interview done in English to build fake pride around her only to ruin her career and credibility with her fans all over the world. Priyanka has made it this far because she is 1) Talented 2) Hard working 3) Driven 4) Gorgeous 5) Great Personality.

When she says what she did different from Aishwarya is that she didn't go looking for work, they came to her. What is she trying to hint here? That Ash went looking for work abroad? How untrue. Will Smith offered her more than three movies. She was offered Troy with Brad Pitt, and some other major films. But Ash was very clear that she would work on HER terms, and that she would not be dictated to. And unlike Priyanka, Ash's priorities were her family and how she never wanted to shift base from India to the US. Anupama knows this and she should have corrected Priyanka on that.. disappointing.

good point and this should be talked about more. What priyanka calls ambition is just a desperate need to be in the news, and if that means she has to give sex scenes and play a character who has an intimate scene with a stranger in a car....as her opening scene in major TV...show.....big deal, any old actor can stoop so low. Over the years respect for Aishwarya has grown...she is truly a royalty.....in more than one ways...(meaning character, and elegance)
