I feel a bit bad for Ben now that he is extremely famous. As it seems he never intended, or wanted, much fame. Of course now he has the possibility to do more work but he always gets recognised everywhere he goes, which he doesn't seem to be overly fond of. Honestly, who would be?

I guess it's a double edged sword. His success as Sherlock has led to roles such as Dr Strange and Star Trek, but he's often said that his great love is the theatre. From what I've read in interviews, he'd just hoped to be able to make a decent living as an actor and he finds the whole heart-throb thing a bit bewildering. I think the recent stalking episode also freaked him out a lot, especially as he was probably worried for the safety of his wife and baby boy.

Priscilla Jackson Yeah he recently had a female stalker turning up at his home and doing creepy stuff like tying a red ribbon onto his car, and another one who was live tweeting his every movement. From what I read in the newspapers I understand they've both been issued with court orders. Much as I admire Benedict, that sort of stuff is definitely crossing a line; the poor man is entitled to his privacy and it gives those of us who simply admire his acting, and enjoy watching his shows and movies, a bad name.
