I'm impressed, too. But not only by his looks - the whole man is hilarious. A really extraordinary sort of human being.

I played Jean in Rhinoceros some 20 years ago at uni. In the original French. The memories. I want to see this production now.

here he talks Sherlock fast. He says talking fast is hard, but here he does it with great ease. Great actor & man.

I see. It varies in intensity, I feel. I think it increases when he's relaxed. But be it as it may - he is adorable.

When i look at this, i think; Ben was 31 years old in 2007. WHAT WOULD HE HAVE SOUNDED LIKE.... at the age of 13/14. When his mature male voice just started XD that must've been so cute! :)

he turned 31 in July. This could have been 30.

He was so young in here 30/31 and you can hear the lisp clearly. Wondering if he had some speech therapy?

He does have a lisp, he says he acts himself out of it most of the time. He mentions it in an early print interview.

He went from freely speaking about roles to becoming closed off in Hollywood because of the relentless non-disclosure agreements and the rules surrounding the character building of the Marvel superheroes. Like, seriously Hollywood, you're super aggravating. Interviewers have to spice up interviews with little interviewee games because no actors are allowed to talk about their characters in connection with release dates and all that. We really miss how Benedict Cumberbatch's roles once were in theatre. He sounded so excited. He definitely still is excited about his new roles, but he has many other priorities now that don't include solely acting.

interesting that the director mentions Hamlet...since Ben is performing Hamlet in 2015, a substantial and long-winded role for one performer...

I love his pronouncing of French words. Ah - this gorgeous man and brilliant actor!!! I feel he has a heavy lisp in this interview. But who cares ;-) And he looks very young, nearly as young as in "Startes for 10". Is there anything he can't do? I mean - Ionesco!

Any way to find that interview? A google search doesn't seem to do it... He's really good at covering it up. You'd never know if you didn't listen to interviews, and even then it's subtle.

Do you think he worked with a speech therapist, only a little? Or a vocal coach or something? Because I think that he talks better now, and I mean only the sound, the way he pronounces some words?
@MacTaylorsGirl11 жыл бұрын
He is isn't he :) I agree with the intensity, I think the more relaxed and comfortable/informal he feels then the more often it slips through. He sounds just lovely either way in my opinion but then I may be biased :)
