can I retire from an injury that is still ongoing and I'm actively receiving treatment from since 2014? In other words, I just received a surgery a few months ago. When does the 1 year window start?

I was approved but OPM is not paying me the 60% or the 40% . They don't answer requests and ignore me. They are paying me 1% for 14 yrs 4 months. Nobody cares you are on your own..

If you have reached your full retirement age, your annuity will be calculated using 1% of your high 3 for each year of creditable service.
