Benefits of Adjusting Indoor Temperatures Seasonally

A lot of environments keep a fixed temperature (usually around 72°F / 22°C) year-round. But adjusting temperatures even slightly can provide two benefits: saving money on heating and cooling costs, and making the temperatures more pleasant so that there is less of a harsh adjustment when coming indoors or going outdoors. This can make it more pleasant and save time and effort associating with adding or removing layers of clothing.
My I'm somewhat flexible about the temperatures I prefer, depending on outside temperature and also what activity I'm doing, but in the coldest part of winter I generally want the indoor temperature to be at most 65 degrees, and in the hottest days of summer, I prefer indoor temperature to be as high as 80 degrees, and can comfortably handle higher.

Yes, I don't like having to carry a sweater around when it's 95 degrees out, just in case some place is too cold inside.
