Copper acts as a co-factor for many enzymes in your body. So without copper, these enzymes can’t do their job. And many vital reactions wouldn’t occur. For example…
Copper is needed to absorb iron and release iron from storage when it’s needed. It also helps iron bond to red blood cells to prevent anemia. And iron-bound red blood cells then carry oxygen throughout your body, which is necessary to make energy.
Copper is also a co-factor for energy-producing enzymes, which is another way in which copper is involved in producing energy. This explains why most of the copper in your body is found in tissues that have high energy demands, such as skeletal muscle and heart tissue.
Copper is needed to build collagen, the most abundant protein in your body. It’s a structural component of your skin, bone, blood vessels, and more.
Your body produces an enzyme known as superoxide dismutase (SOD). It’s a powerful antioxidant that protects your cells from damage. And copper is a co-factor of SOD, which means SOD needs copper to successfully do its job.
Other vital functions that involve copper include:
Blood clotting
Blood pressure control
Formation of the myelin sheath (insulating layer surrounding nerves)
Synthesis and activation/inactivation of chemical messengers (e.g., neurotransmitters and neuropeptides)
Building new blood vessels
Immunity
Brain function and development
Pigmentation (skin and hair)

Everyone who has copper deficiency should look into Colloidal Copper. Copper supplements take forever to accumulate in our system. Colloidal Copper is processed immediately and what the body doesn't need, you urinate out. Unlike Ionic Copper, it has a negative charge and doesn't attach itself to internal organs and accumulate into toxic levels. It is the best way to process Copper.

Just bought some colloidal copper today instead of copper glycinate I was looking at getting. It has a much lower mcg count and is more expensive, but if it is immediately usable by the body then I suppose that's the tradeoff. I hope it works for me.

Get guanabana leaves, make a tea with those leaves. One liter of boiled water. You put inside 12 leaves and leave them there. Before that, you turn off the fire of course. Leave it there until water gets cold. Drain it and drink. Try it one month. Look for guanabana leaves water benefits and you will see... How it helps you. Guanabana=soursop

Oysters have copper in them but they have a huge amount of zinc. I read a study about a woman who was ingesting oysters for their benefits, and she went overboard and she got a copper deficiency. Watch out for zinc. Over 30 milligrams over time will definitely deplete copper

Do you think taking and copper will heal and get rid of varicose vein‘s? I do not want to go to a specialist and have them removed unless it’s necessary. If I can fix it are heal it I would rather do that. Or if you could do a video on varicose veins that will be nice!

@@DrOsborne Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, saves lost souls, you only have to believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary to be saved. Please receive your free gift now, you have already been purchased, you only have to believe to receive your free gift of your Salvation. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 - you are saved by grace through faith, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 1:13 - saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Heaven and Hell are real, literal places, there is nothing in-between. Choose your eternal destination wisely for your soul. Please get saved, time is running out, tomorrow is not promised.

Dr. Osborne, i was told a couple of years ago, after a blood test, that my ferritin was high, even though I was eating a carnivore diet. I was told that even though i was getting plenty of iron from my diet, my body wasn't absorbing all of it. Would copper help that, and if so, is colloidal copper a better option as some on yt comments suggest?
@Deadbolthead
@Deadbolthead 9 ай бұрын
It’s probably high DUE (in part) to your carnivore diet. Just go donate blood and keep carnivoring! 👍🏼 Also, yes, copper can positively help this situation.

@@Deadbolthead Doesn't high ferritin level mean you have a high iron count? The question doesn't make sense to me. Having blood drawn will lower iron levels in the body like a person does with Haemochromatosis
@Deadbolthead
@Deadbolthead 5 ай бұрын
@@vanlifebiker High ferritin doesn’t necessarily mean your iron level is high. If your iron saturation is high, you can have extremely high iron in your blood but low transferrin which means none of the iron is making it into your cells which is where the low iron blood count is coming from. I have hemochromatosis and this is exactly my situation. The amount of iron in my blood is off the charts, but in my cells it’s low because metals are synergistically balanced in the body by each other at a certain ratio. This is why copper at low doses can help. Zinc as well. Although it’s best to get blood tests and let a doctor help with the ratio imbalance.

Can copper also aid in releasing Iron from the body for Haemochromatosis is my question? 🤔
@sgtaneja
@sgtaneja 3 ай бұрын
For hemochromatosis, IP6, ALA, EDTA, phlebotomy as quick fixes to suppress symptoms, but long term will lead to mineral chelation & imbalances. The real fix is to promote long term Iron utilization via b5,b6,b9,b12,copper, vitC, vitA. Note b5,b6,b9,b12 must be in bioactive, coenzymated, methylated forms only. Inactive or synthetic forms will Not work. Cheers !
