Research on rebounding, for people of all ages and all fitness levels! The health benefits of rebounding on a mini-trampoline or rebounder are vast! Here are research study results for rebounding, including the infamous NASA study from 1980 where they compare rebounding to running on a treadmill. Study links are down below.
PS: Here is my follow-up video: • Rebounding for Better ...
In this video I share my thoughts and experiences of my first two weeks rebounding on a mini-trampoline. I also compare my Acon rebounder to some other very popular products like the Leaps and Rebounds and the Bellicon.
MY REBOUNDER⤵
The product I got is the 44 inch rebounder by the brand Acon. I bought it with my own money and after using the product for months now, I decided to become an affiliate. us.acon24.com/products/acon-f... (Use coupon code: HOLLYLIFEDIY for $15 off).
ANOTHER REBOUNDER THAT'S 1/3 THE PRICE⤵
Since creating this video, I have discovered another rebounder and it's by the brand BCan amzn.to/45UcFLm ($99 + sometimes they have $10 off of that) and I am not sure how I missed this when I was doing research. I can partially vouch for it now because I got one and I am currently testing it out. I will be creating a blog post about it ASAP because I want to share my full honest thoughts about it and who I think it's ideal for. I can say that I really like it so far. It is very different from the Acon when it comes to the bounce. I will say for anyone interested that if you have joint issues and you truly need a softer bounce to help you with that, then go for the Acon over the Bcan, because the bounce is stiffer with this one.
This one stands out because it's foldable, it uses bungees, it weights 22 lbs, (the Acon is 30 lbs, the Leeps & Rebounds is 14 lbs). They sell variations and some have a large support bar if needed (but it's more expensive).
It has a weight limit that is really high at 550 lbs.
Some of the Amazon reviews said it was difficult to put together. For me it was not too difficult as it included a tool to help you attach the bungees - and it made it so much easier.
Please check out my post here: lifeanddiy.com/mini-trampolin... where I share even more details about my experience rebounding. - Holly

Thank you so much for the informative video. I've had a rebounder stored in my garage for many years, just collecting dust. I bought it more than 10 years ago. Man, I wish I was using it all along. Better late than never, right? 😊I just started again this morning. I was in my 50's when I bought it. Now I'm in my 60's. I felt very energetic afterwards, I didn't expect that. Thanks again.

Rebounding is the BEST. I've been doing it for years. There are plenty of rebounding routine videos, that contain the inclusion of weights in your workout routine too. It's fun, it's easy on your knees and this video talks about the benefits of rebounding.

Awesome info Holly.. I finally have my rebounder assembled, but I haven’t stepped on it yet.. I should have my custom handrail built in the next day or two. I don’t dare step up on it without something to grab onto at first lol.. I remember reading a book many many years ago called “ Fit For Life “ , and they had a chapter on the incredible benefits of rebounding.. i’ve been wanting to do rebounding on a regular basis for a very long time, and now I’m finally going to start… 😁😊

I'm so excited for you to setup your rebounder, Bill! I am looking forward to your future video on it. It's great you're having a custom handrail put on there. When I was researching, I saw one that had two handrails, which seems really helpful. Oh, just be careful with Daisy because if she's like my cats, she'll want to scratch it. I'm worried mine will ruin it, so I just cover it with a blanket when I am not using it. They think it's their new piece of furniture. 🙂🙏

@@LifeDIY lol , yup, daisy testing out his claws on the material was my first worry ( daisy is a boy, for the first six months after he was born, we thought he was a girl, then six months later we find out he’s a boy, but by then he already knew and answered to his name, so I didn’t have the heart to change it ) but because my space is limited in my room I have it hanging from my ceiling.. you’ll see it in my next video. 😁

Haha I actually knew that Daisy was a boy, yet I still said she! 😊 I have a female cat named Tommy. It's all very confusing for people! That's great you'll have the rebounder hanging up. You know how to make it work in your space. If it were my cats, I think they'd want to jump on it hanging there. :)) Hopefully it's not hard to take it down. Good luck on the next video!

I'm 68 & received & assembled my rebounder yesterday. I don't enjoy walking much like I used to. Mainly b/c most retired/homebound ppl. I know (my age) we just tend to stroll a bit to walk our dogs, then come home & sit in front of the tv. My dog is 18 yrs old now so it's more of a slow stroll for us. She's more comfortable staying home & napping. So this seems to be the perfect solution for me to get a bit of exercise anytime of day or evening I want to. I'm starting out lightly bouncing in place. It's probably too early to share how much I love it, but I can truly say that so far I'm happy I bought mine.

Great info Holly I see you did your research. You look like you're having fun there jumping 😊 I had one of those when I lived in CT and it was fun jumping and exersizing on it but I got rid of it because I had limited space when moving to Fl and wish I didn't after but I couldn't take it all. 😕 But after a fall and breaking my wrist and hurting ny knees plus having wrist surgery I kinda wonder if I can jump on a trampoline without hurting myself again it's true you do loose muscle mass and after surgery It took a few months to be able to grip a drum stick when I play and be able to regain my hand strength and get back to doing normal things again. I did buy one of those vibrating exersize plates and woa these plates can really do a workout on your legs and body maybe you can try one mines has bluetooth speakers built in so you can rock your body with music without getting bored. 😀Anyway I enjoyed watching this keep the videos coming Holly and have a Happy Valentines Day ❤ xoxo Andy.

Do you have a bounce-soundtrack guaranteed to imbue you with optimum bounce? You were a noughties teen, so I imagined you bouncing to N-Sync or Britney Spears, but I was probably way off. And you're all grown up now, so maybe you bounce to Debussy. Hey, don't blame me for the dodgy music choices, Holly, you turned the sound down. I had to fill in the audio-blanks from imagination. 🙂

hey, just woke up. 😆 lol jumping on a trampoline😂 sorry but it seems so funny to me. don't worry i sometimes feel like jumping in bed myself, lol. and just so you know, I DID JUMP ON MY BED when i was living in my student dorm🤭 those were some heavy duty beds btw. anyway, any form of exercise can't hurt. speaking of the bone size of the tibia, yeah... haven't exercised in a while so i think mine is pretty low density. which makes me realize.... i haven't done snowboarding in a long time. if i do it now, who knows what the results will be because my bones are not as dense now, due to lack of activity. btw, the hair, how do you deal with that while jumping. i mean... i am looking at it and thinking about it. and.... well idk. pigtails but rolled in a bun ? so that it can have a good balance ? i am thinking one single bun would probably affect the center of gravity. so it's either that or just braided hair ? tho that takes too long i guess, oh idk i am just talking here plus it's funny thinking about how you would look like with pigtails🤭😁😂 lol it's funny to see you jump like that, it makes me want to jump too. doing sports and activity is so under rated these days. moving does actually make you feel good. BTW, the insomnia problem just popped into my head. does doing that and exercises solve the problem of insomnia and regulating your circadian rhytm ? i have mine upside down completely, i mean i just woke up, imagine that lol.
@LifeDIY
@LifeDIY 5 ай бұрын
Yeah I have hair issues with the jumping. Braids would work best. Anything else just falls out - the bun or ponytail with all the hair in it. Just braids or a low ponytail will work. You should get back into snowboarding with your weak tibias! :) I'm joking. And, the working out may help some people with insomnia. It hasn't made a big difference for me, but I could try to push it a lot more and see what happens!
@itsMe_TheHerpes

@@LifeDIY well i should go back to snowboarding, i miss it tbh☺btw, i also had a foot injury back when i was like.... 19. i had this car accident and flew thru the wind shield about 20 yards and a tree stopped me. i can only imagine what i looked like while flying like that because i bumped into a tree only with my right leg. the tree bark totally engraved on my tibia bone and the foot smashed. (not the tibia tho, only the foot. and doctors said that if it was my head instead of my foot, they would've picked my brains from the forest, lol) i stayed in bed 6 weeks and and after that 2 months i was in crutches (almost spelled crutches with an O btw, i realized only after i did it😆but i corrected it) using those, and relying on my arms for movement, i have to say, i liked the way my chest muscles and back developed from that, lol. anyway, if you're doing braids, you still have to roll them, maybe in a scorpion tail shape on your head ? so it won't bother you. either way, jumping like that seems like a very fun exercise, probably that's why it catches on so fast and becoming popular, lol.
